Be careful

I want to get a looper. Everyone says it will help me progress as a player.

To loop with a Spark Mini is really difficult according to videos I have watched.

What's a good amp that will allow me to loop and change rhythm and lead tones easily?

I'm interested in the new Katana 3rd generation amp. But there are a lot of good amps under $500.

Suggestions? Or a good video that explains several options?

Honestly, no need to overthink it. Just buy a Ditto, put it at the end of your signal chain, and start playing with it. Overtime, you will realize how fun it is and how much you've been missing out. You can find a used one on Reverb for $60.

Later, once you've gotten used to using one, you can buy a fancier one to create multiple loops and such. Hell, i still only use my basic Ditto with a stomp switch and volume knob. It's all I need.

I don't have a signal chain at this point. I'm just straight into the Spark.

Then you will only have a Ditto. I'm just saying it goes at the end of your signal chain, generally.

I'm still having a blast with my Spark Go.

They are releasing a new Spark Mini 2 soon that I may check out.

You can't beat the ease of browsing tones from your phone and saving them to your presets. Not to mention playing songs on Spotify and going riff by riff learning new songs.

I'll look up any looper "loopholes" for you.

I pre-ordered the Spark 2. My stupid spark doesn't work out loud - have to plug it into another amp or use headphones. New spark 2 evidently has a looper. I have a boss RC-5 too, and I've been messing around with PreSonos and some other DAWs, but I suck at using a keyboard to make a drum beat, lol.

It's funny, I'm an IT guy but sometimes getting all that setup takes a lot of thinking, and by the time I'm at the end of my day, I don't want to think anymore and just play.

I've considered the RC-5. The Anderton's guys really love it.

Positive Grid Spark 2 has a looper, upgraded speaker placement for more stereo and increased memory/storage.

Go ahead and place that pre-order in and thank me later.

As a proud owner of a Line 6 Pod XT, it makes me wonder what happened to Line 6's R&D over the last 20 years?

I purchased the pod in 2003 and I thought they were way head of the times when it came to amp modeling. But now have a company like positive grid that is plug and play and sounds immensely better.

The other side of that argument is perhaps line 6 has transitioned to more software application? Or line 6 is for people who actually want to record songs with and perform live with versus Positive Grid being a practice amp and Bluetooth speaker.

My wife got me a Behringer wireless setup for Christmas last year. I've had several Behringer pedals that worked really well, so she went with the name she recognized.

I got to use them a total of two times playing with the worship band at church, then they conked out on me. My wife cleans out her emails on way too regular of a basis, so I haven't been able to locate the receipt from Sweetwater. And, of course, she didn't actually create an account.

So, back to cables I went...for now.

We are supposed to clean out old emails?

I know, right? I was shocked, too.

I didn't even know there was a delete button.

Maybe call the rep and see if they can find it by the card number?
