+1, they've added so many features over the years, it really is the most comprehensive tab site out there. I too subscribe and agree it's worth it!

That loop feature when working through a section of a solo is really helpful. As is being able to slow it down.

And there are so many songs. It's crazy.

Or a great Custom Shop Strat, like my new baby.

Also, the more guitars you have, the more you have to manage all the damn string changes. I honestly have a few guitars I haven't changed the strings on for over a year. I couldn't tell you when I last changed the strings on my ES-330 or ES-335.

Well yeah. He could do that.

I played a used Silver Sky SE this weekend just for kicks. Wanted to see how it felt and couldn't remember how I liked the new one that GC had last year.

This one felt good. Better than one of those Player Strats. But man the action was high on it. If their setup tech has some down time he should be making guitars more playable. Easier to sell a guitar when people pick it up and the action isn't crazy high.

I know GC is an easy place to go play a lot of different things but man they've become completely worthless. A lot of their people seem annoyed to have to talk to you.

There is that.

Yep... not a fan of Guitar Center. Went to one up in Denton many years back and was looking to buy an AC15. I was trying one out, and one of the employees came over to me and told me to turn it down. I was not playing loud at all.

I will only go to local music stores to make purchases, these days. You can get just as good deals or even better on guitar purchases. The big box stores will offer strings for a couple bucks less, but I just buy those online these days.

I also like going into a guitar store like Fuller's, and asking one of the guys there what guitar they've received in the last few weeks that really stands out. The guys there play them all and know which ones have that little extra something.

Granted, I only really guy used guitars anyways, so it's moot.

Not to mention I feel like anywhere from 65-90% of GC employees have no clue WTF they're talking about.

I don't have options here. It's GC or the place I take lessons that has a few acoustics and a few electrics.

Or pawn shops. That's it.

Playing the Reverb market is not bad. Just have to make wise purchases, not to overpay. If you don't gel with it, then just resell it.

And those are definitely the folks they have entering their used equipment into the website.

I sold some stuff a few years ago and the guy whined at me because I hadn't cleaned it all up. It was just a little dusty from sitting around and he whined about allergies or some such bulls***.

The time where they tried to give me $150 dollars for my GK 700rb-2 750w bass amp and 115 RBH cabinet.

Didn't even need a lot for it. They literally told me they couldn't look it up in their system so they had no idea the value. Granted this was in the GC in CS and at the time I don't think a single person there played bass.

Kid on FB was happy to pay $500 for the set.

I don't know why anyone would sell anything to GC. I have had nothing but great experiences selling on Reverb. Hell, if you are in that dire need for money, just list it on reverb for the going rate minus 25%. Would sell extremely fast, and you would still make at least 25% more from Reverb than GC.

ETA: I just added it up. I have sold $18,990 on Reverb. I still have my AO Strat listed for $1,600, which I believe is about to sell. Just going back and forth with the guy. I then have my Tele at $1,400 and Victory Sherriff at $800.

I'm currently playing a PRS DGT SE (gold top). From the YouTube reviews, I think it's right at the top of the PRS SE line. I know it's not a Core, but many of the reviews were impressed that it came so close in performance to the DGT Core. I think it'll be a long time before my guitar is holding me back!

I bought a PRS SE Singlecut on Reverb prior to that. I think it needs a new nut. The high E string slot is much deeper into the nut than the rest of the strings. I'll probably just turn around and sell it on Reverb, but PRS had so many sales lately, the used prices are a bit depressed. It's not taking up too much room...

I appreciate all the inputs from everyone, I'm going to try some of the online resources recommended here and see if I can't make some progress to where I hit a wall that'll warrant getting some in-person advice.

I haven't sold anything expensive to them in the last 15 years and when I have sold anything there it's because I was being lazy. That's what annoyed me more about the dude whining. Dude knew they were screwing me over and still whined.

Stupid Deal of the Day is interesting

VOX 50-watt amp that is battery powered

As long as you supply a compatible USB battery pack

The features it has, including a looper, are really a nice touch for a small and inexpensive amp but I wonder how it sounds

After much thought and research, I finally pulled the trigger on a SparkGo. Going to run through it tonight with my Les Paul and Schecter and give you guys a more formal review in a couple days. Straight out of the box it's amazing quality and has some good weight on it, which you want in a speaker.

Why did I get it? I want to play more like I use to but work, kids and traveling a lot reduces my ability to. My amps are too big to lug around. I think this is cool to streaming song to play to and plug my head phones into after everyone is in bed. Excited to explore the tone bank.

Good evening yall!

Enjoy! I have a Mini and it's fun! I need to explore more tones but when I have time for guitar stuff it's just practice.

That'll certainly travel well.

I will say, Amplitube is a pretty solid option. You have to get their adapter to plug into your iPad, but it ain't bad for what it is.

I'm just a proud Fender fanboy. Though, I do have more Gibsons than Fenders. My Fenders are just all such fantastic guitars.

I was playing across most of my guitars, yesterday, and just may think my 335 is my favorite Gibson guitar. However, I do love my 330. I may replace the strings and clean those fretboards this weekend because I think both of them have strings older than a year.
