I bought a gray/black version of this:
Here's what I like about it so far:
- The interchangeable pickups obviously makes it very versatile.
- The pickups have thumb screws to adjust the height, which is much more convenient.
- 24 frets for solos
- The stainless steel frets are filed really well.
- The tuners hold pitch very well. When I got back to the U.S. and I played it, it was still almost perfectly in tune, which was shocking with the change in temperature, humidity, and air pressure.
- The satin finish is very comfortable and feels better than lacquer imo.
- The contour of the body is comfortable to hold, and it's much lighter than my Les Paul.
- The aluminum frame around the body attached to the aluminum bar inside the body is sturdy and helps with sustain.
- The hollow construction makes it loud when unplugged, which is an added bonus but it also makes the guitar vibrate more when I play, which just feels cool through my hands.
- The bamboo fretboard is unique and I've never heard of that on a guitar.
- The way they heated the neck to achieve the break angle on the headstock is supposed to help with sustain as well.
- The piezo pickup is awesome, and one of the best I've heard of its type. Good for acoustic sounds without having to play an acoustic.
- The piezo pickup also has a push/pull mid frequency boost which makes it sound more "shimmery" and adds versatility in tone.
- The guitar volume knobs for the normal pickups and the piezo pickup means I can blend the sounds of both acoustic and electric.
- Taking the back off (held in place with magnets) to reveal everything will make repairs much easier.
