I've been playing for about 19 years and have never played a PRS. I don't like super figured tops, and so many PRS's have those. Yours seems to be much less gaudy, which I like.
I need to try some out and see if I need one. I still need a 335 style guitar. My current guitar wish is the olive drab green ES-345 that Bradley Cooper is playing in a Star is Born. From the second he came on screen playing that guitar, I wanted it.

I've had the same experience.
It's the CE model. Still American made, but the tops aren't as figured and the top carve is a little less dramatic. It's also a bolt on model as opposed to set neck.

on this one is horrible. But it plays like butter.

They're definitely steep. I thought about grabbing one of the SEs and upgrading, but by the time I did that I'd have been pretty close to the price tag of the US models. You can find good prices used though.
I'm already intrigued by the new SE Custom 24 408 they announced Thursday night though.

I found a guy on etsy recently that does engraved wooden guitar hangers. Here was the finished products I got three weeks ago to match my signature EVH, Johnny Cash, and Ben Harper guitars.
The photo doesn't do the wood work justice but I highly recommend this merchant. He's the best I've ever dealt with on the internet and can customize just about whatever you want.
Also had this guy make some other custom ones for gifts including John Lennon, SRV, John Bell, Michael Houser, and Billy Nershi. They've all come out so good.

I've wanted a PRS since I played one at a guitar shop in high school in the 80s. Since then I've bought and sold: a PRS SE (Korean), 2 American Strats, 1 American Tele, 1 Gibson Les Paul, 3 Martin Acoustics, 2 Taylor Acoustics, and several other guitars (Schector, Squier, Steinberger, others).
I regret every single guitar I sold, but sacrifices have to be made to fuel my addiction. One of my biggest regrets in life was passing on a PRS Hollowbody for $1,750 in 2012.

Its a 10 Top which is why the patterning is so intense. I was after a different one at the shop but absolutely could not pass on this one when I saw it.
If you really want to see some guitar porn, search for PRS private stock.
I've checked those out many times. I'd love to be able to order one some day. Their wood library stuff is amazing.

Having said that - I freaking love the olive/army green 335. I wish I'd grabbed one of the Chris Cornell's that came about around 2013. It was above my pay grade at the time but inflation is far outpacing my raises
These are 9K plus now since they only made a few hundred.edit: As much as I can chugga chugga away on an open D/dropped D rhythm or open chord riff, I need a 335 in my stable.

Yeah. Would love a Chris Cornell 335, but no way am I paying that price for one. I think the original was listed at $2,700 when it was first release. Man, to go back then and buy one.
I haven't played a 335 that speaks to me, yet. My ES-330 is my #2, and sounds/plays better than any 335 I have played, at this point.

it's not technically new guitar day (yet) and certainly not quite as cool as cornell's 335 but i put in my order for the below last friday and should be shipping to me in march. pretty excited and unfortunately i'm not good at being patient but will update the thread when it arrives (obviously not my picture but same guitar).

Cool. I love P90s. They just break up so nicely.
I just meant my PRS. I like it though. Plays great. Nice fast neck. The push/pull pot offers some more range which is pretty solid. It's also significantly lighter than my LP style Warmoth which is nice.

The Casino is a good guitar. My one mod I would do is replacing the pickups. I don't know what type of electronics come stock in the Casino.

I actually made an offer today, on Reverb, for a PRS S2 Semi Hollow guitar. Sometimes you are just browsing, and you see the possibility for a great deal!
This weekend, I ordered around $500 in parts. A set of used Lollar Novel 90 pickups to put in my LP Classic, an Emerson electronics kit to install in the same guitar (has CTS/Emerson pots and Emerson PIO caps), a couple of pre-fabbed treble bleed cap/resistor sets, and several PIO caps of various values to play around with. Also purchased a set of nut/bridge files.
I want to try out a set of the Lollar 90's in my LP Classic as well as some Filtertrons to see how they sound. Currently, it has a set of Classic '57's, but I never play it because my LP Standard with the Seymour Duncan Antiquities sounds, feels, and plays better.
The two guitars I am currently hunting for are a Gibson Les Paul Special in TV yellow, and that Drab Green ES-345. The TV Yellow Special is one I am very particular about. Needs to have good visual grain and single-cutaway. I would also prefer to get a good deal on it. I stopped buying new guitars years ago, and refuse to pay new guitar prices unless I just happen across one I cannot live without.

ha! of course...i'm an idiot.
that prs is sweet. always loved them and definitely on my wishlist someday.
