Not necessarily bad delivery, just bad writing.

One that has always stood out to me is Josh Hartnett's line in Pearl Harbor: "I think World War II just started!"

Even as a 13-year-old kid, I knew that was a terrible line. Nevermind the fact that nobody actually called the first war "World War I" yet, but the war had already been going for two years.

Very clearly written for modern American audiences (and nobody else). It feels like it was written by a first year film student. Still cringey to this day.

What comes to mind for you?

I don't know why this rubs me the wrong way, but it just does. I can't explain it.

I always took it to be a self-aware, pretentious hipster thing to say at that age, but maybe I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt.

You know what happens to a toad when it's struck by lightning? The same thing that happens to everything else!

This is pretty much the worst line ever delivered in a movie.

Haha, nope, mine is still worse. The F&F movies along with the Transformers movies are probably the two highest grossing franchises with dialogue that appears to have been written by a 7th grader.

Though I will admit the Anakin sand quote is tough to beat, and so many other things he said. Makes you wonder what lines were cut compared to what was kept in.
