I didn't see another thread on this but I've listened to a few podcasts on this case the past several days and enthralled. The podcasts were an episode on Crime Junkie "Killer on the High Bridge" and another 8 episode podcast called "Down the Hill: The Delphi Murders".

Crazy story in 2017 about a man who killed 2 middle school girls on a walking train in rural Indiana. One of the girls had the foresight to film the man presumably right before the murder and some of that was released by the cops. The perp has not been captured. I could have sworn I saw a thread from a few years back on Texags but I couldn't find it.

I never really do, but I went down some reddit rabbit holes on this one in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep.

Yep. The whole thing has been insane. I just wonder if this guy has been in their radar and who else is involved, if anyone else. I can't wait till the sealed info is released to know how they got this guy that fit the suspect description and lived 1.5 miles from the murder sight in a town of 3000 people.

Police on this one were super tight lipped. They wouldnt give any descriptions of pretty much anything material except where bodies were found and 3 seconds of a 45 second clip of the "Bridge Guy" saying "down the hill..." so it will be interesting to see what they had.

Apparently, the bodies were killed in a location, moved to a second location, staged in the second location, and the murders were extremely brutal.

Im glad they finally found the person responsible. What a horrible end for those two poor girls.

The lesson: dont let your kids get on social media. Ever. It is not good for them in any positive way.

If you choose to, you better monitor that **** so they dont get caught out by one of the many predators lurking out there that they dont have the life experience to know not to trust.

There's no current evidence that the bodies were moved.
There's also no current evidence released that the person that was catfishing them was involved in the murders. I suspect there is some connection though. If there's not, that is one hell of a nightmarish coincidence.

I agree with you completely about social media, however.

I also agree about the case seemingly coming to an end. Those poor families.

The guy that was catfishing them was charged with 30 felonies of child materials. There's a lot of POS's out there.

I listened to the new episode of down the hill that they put out after the arrest. Apparently they dug up some stuff on this guy's property. I'm very curious about what led them to him. Also, he looks just like the sketch, I'm a little surprised he wasn't looked at sooner in such a small town.

There's rumors on Reddit (albeit alongside a million other ridiculous rumors) that claim he came forward very early in the investigation claiming to have been on the trails that day but didn't see anything. If that's true, and it very well could be BS, then LE really fudged this one. There's a lot of mistakes they made but if this dude served himself up on a platter while they, at the same time, said this guy was likely local and "hiding in plain sight", then they are going to be dragged for this.

There's also rumors that he only came on the radar after a neighbor reported he stole from them and they found something alarming and came back and did a deep search of his property then they could have found this guy by complete happenstance, after spending a zillion resources investigating this for almost 6 years.
