Just FYI, the movie's officially out and has been up on Amazon for a few hours now.

Likely watching tomorrow night.

I thought it was hilarious. Borat is definitely father of the year material.

It's a heavily edited hit piece on the right.
A few laughs when not being political but basically just a liberal circle jerk.

All movies are "heavily edited". That's a good thing. You don't want to watch an unedited movie or even a slightly edited movie.

definitely not as good as the original, but i thought it was pretty solid. Laughed a lot. I can see Trump fans not finding it funny.

The Giuliani scene was a big "nothing." Though, I'm positive that had they let the scene play out another minute or two, they would have gotten him saying or doing something compromising.

The Borat movie made me insanely uncomfortable
I didn't enjoy it

I have no plans to see this one

Got a chance to watch today, it was funny. Several moments of just ridiculous nonsense that actually made me laugh out loud, which is hard to do these days. Turn off your brain for an hour and a half and have some giggles. I think at one point he said something in the neighborhood of "America's number one ladies man, Mike Pence" and I just lost it.

So exactly like the first one? Who could have seen that coming? If you knew it'd be that going in and you knew you'd be a snowflake about it, why'd you watch it?

Needlessly gross with that dancing scene...yikes.

Some good laughs and some swing and miss.

I found it pretty hilarious. The actress who plays the daughter is so great.

I don't always agree with you, but I will here. I am pretty left leaning and there were some cheap laughs at the right's expense. Still, it was pretty cringe worthy.
Life's an endless party, not a punch card.

Spot on. Not as funny as the original and the hyped up Guliani scene was a nothingburger (and I am definitely not a fan of the guy). The best parts of the original were people's reactions to Borat and this time around those were fewer and less funny.

nothingburger is the one of the dumber phrases to creep into the American vernacular the past few years.

About to start it. But this tweet alone made me laugh out loud...

Holy sh*t the dance.

Absolutely loved it, and I'm legit surprised by how affecting it was. The father/daughter arc, how much the black "babysitter" truly cared for Tutor, the older Jewish woman in the synagogue... all shockingly genuine and even somewhat emotional. Then, on a technical level, the way they clearly had to pivot mid-production due to COVID, but brilliantly worked to include it in the story, was so incredibly impressive as well. That, and I laughed out loud throughout. Just so damn funny and so absurd. Overall, it shouldn't have worked this well, but somehow it does. A worthy follow-up for sure.

Was going to post this also - that was the hardest I laughed.
I really enjoyed Borat's dialogue and quips.
Unlike the first one though (naivety on my part at the time), really hard to accept the desired believability of the movie and victims/actors. Too many were on to the act -- unavoidable because of the previous success and notoriety of Cohen. I was fine with just viewing it as a comedy film this time.

I'll submit "amaze-balls" as my dumb phrase or hot minute.

Liked the first one, care nothing about the political themes, and thought this one was awful. A few laughs crowded out by dozens of duds.

Too bad, was hoping for something better than that.

In another time, this is probably extremely funny. But after seeing and hearing political crap nonstop for years now, this movie was just tiresome.

I laughed way harder than I should have with the "jumped from our highest buildings" scene.

Just so simple and perfect.

The first one is one of my favorite movies, I've always loved Borat dating back to the Ali G show. I expected the second one wouldn't compare to the first, and it definitely wasn't as good but it did have some very funny moments and I did laugh out loud. Some really stupid stuff, a lot of cringy stuff but it was alright.

Ever visited Forum 16? Seems a healthy chunk of the posters there don't pay too much attention to pop culture and could be ripe targets.
Just a few threads down there is a long discussion aseering "Miley Cyrus is insanely talented". You have no room to throw stones at other forums. If it weren't for the GB, this would be the Texags short-bus.
