Well ******* it all to hell.
Halloween, Lion King, and Man of Steel in one group? How am I supposed to decide...

Well, I went with Halloween and JP.
My reasoning (not that anyone cares):
As fantastic as Lion King's score is, the most memorable part of that movie are Elton John's songs more so than Zimmer's score.
Man of Steel, which again is fantastic, is not quite as epic and memorable and Williams' original Superman score, nor quite as good as his scores for the TDK trilogy.
Halloween's score is instantly recognizable, memorable, iconic, and the best horror score of all time, even beating out Psycho. (Imho)
And Jurassic Park is, well, it's Jurassic Park. So it beats out The Dark Knight Rises, which is such a fantastic score in its own right. I love the Deshi Basara chant, it really makes that whole score for me.
Someone should write a musical ala Wicked about the life of that swordsman. How he was misunderstood and trying to provide for his family until some ******* American shot him in cold blood.Yoda said:

Although it isn't one of the better Bond movies, DAF is one of the best Bond scores. I nominated it on that basis. It won't win its group, of course. But it's worth the listen.Brian Earl Spilner said:
Me scrolling down Group I:
Diamonds are Forever: Okay, a Bond movie but not the best. Next.
Raiders: Pack it up, boys.
MI Fallout: Damn, this one is actually pretty good. Tough draw for MI.
ROTK: Pack it up, boys.

Group J (by a single vote): Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
What's the over/under for how many of the top 20 vote-getters will come from Williams? I'd be surprised if it were less than 10.MuckRaker96 said:
Your new top 4 seeds if the tourney started today - or as John Williams calls it - a decent day's work -
1. Jurassic Park
2. The Empire Strikes Back
3. Star Wars
4. Raiders of the Lost Ark
He is arguably the modern equivalent to the most popular classical composers from previous eras. How will he be regarded 200, even 100 years from now?Yoda said:What's the over/under for how many of the top 20 vote-getters will come from Williams? He presently has 7 of the top 11 vote getters with the group phase about 40% done.Yoda said:What's the over/under for how many of the top 20 vote-getters will come from Williams? I'd be surprised if it were less than 10.MuckRaker96 said:
