I remember longboxes but I was recently asking someone about 5 yrs younger (who definitely bought CDs in the mid 90s) about them and they had never seen/heard of them. I guess I had "misremembered" how short their run was.

Long boxes were about gone by Mid 90s as I remember. Those were 80s and early 90s. My brother kept all his he had a few hundred.
