Honestly, they could just make a movie called "**** Storm" that is simply a replay of the nightly news from 2020. All that is missing are the flying cows. But who knows, maybe that's next week.

What if we get a reboot titled Hurricane where Jo and her team have learned all the can about twisters but decide they want to get Dorothy up in a hurricane.

I had just graduated and stayed up at A&M for the summer doing the bare minimum of looking for a job. I eventually took a job in Paris, TX, quit after 6 days and took a 5,500 mile road trip across the country before coming back to reality.

Twister 2: Twist Harder
Twister 2: Dorothy's Revenge, in this version, they have to defend themselves from the tornado that merged with Dorothy to become self aware, like Skynet.

Prequel - Let's do the Twist-er

If there isn't a reference to Sharknado somewhere in this remake, then Hollywood has failed.

Need to get Chubby Checker's "Let's Twist Again (Like We Did Last Summer) over the main titles.

The scene with the night twister ripping through the drive-thru showing The Shining is one of my faves.

Good point, plus my last one sounds like a Cinemax movie late at night.

Maybe this time we'll actually get the giant tire that smashes into the camera/windshield that was in the trailer and not the movie

I like how a giant EF-5 tornado just snuck up on everyone at the drive-in.

That happens all the time.

There is a special place in my heart for this film. The cow flying over the bridge on lake scene was filmed 2 miles from my grandmother's house in Oklahoma, on a bridge I've driven over a 1,000 times. I grew up in the panhandle of TX and tornadoes are just something you talk and worry about. My parents and grandparents, who grew up in OK, always had tornado stories to tell.

When I got this movie on DVD (or VHS probably), I wore it out. As I watched it more and more though, the inconsistencies, errors, scientific nonsense, etc. just stood out more and more. There are parts of it that are really quite terrible and laughable. But it's still a charming, thrilling film. I'm all in on this....

They're going to have to update all the cultural references to appeal to a younger demographic. Might as well swap out "that's no moon, it's a space station!" for...

I enjoyed the original. But it wasn't extraordinary by any means. I never found myself saying "this needs a sequel " or "this needs a reboot".

Like what more of the tornado chasing story needs to be told?

Maybe the movie can be about the sister of Bill Paxton's character. They can call it..

Twisted Sister

It used to happen, and then then successfully made the final, boss tornado ingest Dorothy during the movie's climatic ending.

Not going to work. Twister's FX were amazing for it's time. It floored people...not quite to a T2 or JPark level but pretty close. It had some great teaser trailers that really got people excited.

Now it's just a cult movie for it's cheesiness which won't carry over to a sequel in the same way. Plus the FX can't improve that much where it's going to wow anyone.

The tornadoes are great looking in Twister. I appreciated it more many years later when I saw the LA tornadoes in the Day After Tomorrow.

I have a theory that someone dared Roland Emmerich to make a ****tier movie than the Day After Tomorrow and 3 hours later he had finished the script for 2012.
