I love Training Day, but the Snoop, Dre, and Macy Gray cameos always take me out of it. Denzel should play a villain more often, he's amazing in that movie.Bruce Almighty said:

It's my favorite movie of the decade, but it's not something that was made for the masses.
What I mean is that it put story over action. There's a couple of spectacular action sequences, but I can see how the average moviegoer could find the movie boring as its not really a naval war film, but a movie about the relationship between two men.MuckRaker96 said:Starring Russel Crowe 3 years after Gladiator and 2 years after A Beautiful MindBruce Almighty said:Chipotlemonger said:

Directed by Peter Wier 5 years after Truman Show
Budget: $150 million
Released the week before Thanksgiving in competition with The Matrix Revolutions
How was that not made for the masses?

No, I'm not. I can vote for something knowing it's not going to win. My brother and I both voted for our Dad as a write-in candidate for President in 1996.Brian Earl Spilner said:
The problem is that you're suggesting it's a better movie than Fellowship of the Ring.
