Ohhh. A friend of ours works at NASA teaching astronauts in various things like safety procedures, etc.

She told us a couple weeks ago she was going to be teaching a big named actor to go to space but she couldn't tell us who.

Serious question - what can they accomplish in space that they couldn't accomplish with practical/special effects? I watched part of Apollo 13 the other day and the weightless scenes are totally believable in a movie from 25 years ago. With a finite # of people on board whatever they're going to launch Tom up there in, what happens if he gets sick or the cameraman does or the camera breaks?

2023 - Space Movie

Could be 2024 before we get the space movie, so he'll be like 61/62 years old around then. He's 58 now.
