Rudy is TERRIBLE and he's essentially a fraud. No way it should be on any top 10 sports movie list.

(Soundtrack is pretty awesome though)

Care to explain?
It definitely got the Hollywood treatment and is about as realistic as Cool Runnings and Remember the Titans, but its really no different than most biopic movies. I think the problem people have with it is that Rudy tried to make money off of it by becoming a motivational speaker. I think people overreact to it though. Though some things were embellished for dramatic effect, his story is still a good underdog story.

Has anyone said The Fighter, with Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale? Bale especially is fantastic. And the movie stays close enough to the real story. Probably my 3rd favorite boxing movie after Rocky II and Cinderella Man.

Speaking of boxing movies I tried watching Raging Bull. Got about halfway through. Just didn't care for it.

I have an idea...Let's all keep adding sports movies.

On a day or 2 compile all entries, then do a 'pick 10' weighted survey with 10 points going to each person's favorite down to 1 for 10th favorite and use that to develop a best sports movies bracket contest since, well, this is March.
