Shameless resurrection of this thread to throw in Gone Baby Gone which I rewatched tonight.
7.6 on IMDb, 94% on RT, Morgan Freeman, Michelle Monaghan, Ed Harris, Casey Affleck, Amy Madigan, Amy Ryan, and it only made 35 million dollars.
Even now when you read around on the ending it's still debated and votes are 50/50 on what he did.

I think the studio must have failed this movie in how they promoted it.
