There's so many band-wagoners here when it comes to Simpson - which is fine. And I'm glad he can make a living, which obviously requires latecomers.

Does it matter if someone came on earlier or later? How about letting people enjoy someone's music without gatekeeping it by calling yourself a "true fan". It doesn't make you any more of a fan because you happened to like something sooner. Maybe someone didn't have a chance to hear his earlier stuff for whatever reason. Or maybe their tastes have changed over the years. Or maybe they didn't like his earlier stuff but like his new stuff. Whatever the case, fandom isn't some exclusive club reserved for those who happened to stumble upon an artist before other did.Redstone said:
