This looks legit, with a hell of a cast too.

And makes for two Soderbergh movies in three months.

His other one, Presence, releases in January and is getting great reviews.

Can't wait for both!

For whatever reason I assumed this movie was going to be somewhat cheesy, but this is at least a pretty great trailer...

Looks better than I would have guessed, but I'm curious where/how/if it fits into the CKU.

Came here to post that trailer. It looks like it's going to be really fun in a very bizarre way.

Humble brag
Not sure how much of a brag it is to happen to walk by someone while looking for a bar after dinner, but I guess I'll take it?

A very busy teaser, looking forward to the trailer!

- John Williams' original theme from 1978! Awesome!
- Bringing in Krypto is...interesting.
- Quite a few bad guys...Lex, Mr. Terrific, and Metamorpho.
- Is Green Lantern and Hawkgirl fighting Superman, along with citizens of Metropolis?
- Fortress of Solitude sighting! (who's the robot?)

I appreciate that the Broccolis are old school and want to keep the franchise purely Bond and purely theatrical or whatever, but it really is insane at this point to not try and create a whole universe out of the next iteration, with spinoff shows/movies, etc.

Good gosh, Hollywood really is dumping all kinds of news on the last work day of the year. (Except no one I know is still working.)

Did not have that on my bingo card. I'm going to assume this 'reboot' is going to take itself a bit less serious than the first one?

Based on Amazons handling of Wheel of Time and Rings of Power, she isn't wrong calling them idiots

Maybe I'm in the minority but I like their approach and I hope they stick to it. Not everything needs to be a universe. Keep it cinematic and special. There's enough content out there without needing to add 5 Bond shows to the mix.

Yep, both of those shows are unwatchable garbage, so I have zero doubt they're gonna f*** up Bond, which is an utter shame.

Last workday of the year!? Now we truly do know you are one of those hollywood elites!

I'm in construction and between our big clients and smaller developers, they'd have us working 365.

Fallout is incredible, though, and my top show of the year, while The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is one of my all-time favorites. Not to mention Reacher is a huge hit, as was Jack Ryan. I would argue every streamer has their hits and misses.

I'm honestly a little jealous. No one will really be back to work again until Monday, January 8th. But we've got shows to pitch, which will take another two weeks to schedule, so we really won't be doing anything of substance until late January. I hate it.

The creative teams behind the shows have a huge impact too, and there's only a handful of super high profile creators that have exclusive deals.

You make a good point that they have some quality fare that I like, but I would argue they're good/better stuff is new or previously undeveloped IP. Maisel was great as was Fallout (Fallout was based on a game and not a legit fleshed out world from books or previous shows). And I really liked The English.

Meanwhile, Reacher was ok in season one, but season two was atrocious. Jack ryan it was okay in season one, but not even good enough to draw me back in for subsequent seasons. Point being that when there's already an established story world Amazon has a tendancy to just f*** it up with their stupid ideas.

Yeah, based on what little bit you've let out on here about the potential shows in your portfolio you keep working and pitching those. We need those sooner rather than later!

No one really watches these shows or the rest of Amazon's original content (relative to HBO or Netflix) and they've really missed big on some stuff. If I'm Broccolis I'd rather not have Bond spinoffs die within Prime either. Keep it theatrical and somewhat special/limited every 3 years. What Disney has done to Marvel/Star Wars is pretty easy to want to avoid if you don't need the money. So diluted and quality is suffering as a result. I don't hate keeping Bond "limited".
