SPOILER ALERT!!! The trailer gives away numerous plot twists from the book. I can't believe Scorsese would allow a trailer like this. I mean, EVERY. SINGLE. PLOT. TWIST.

What the heck? The first trailer had the same mystery aura that the book does. The second trailer spoils absolutely everything!

The only thing I can think of is Scorsese is going to tell a straight story without the mystery. That would be a real disappointment, but not out of the realm of possibility.

I've been tracking this movie for a while now, and hoping for something somewhat near Gladiator's level of epicness.
The song choice for this trailer is awful, why would you give a period piece the now generic "forlorn/slow cover of popular song" treatment? Some of the shots they briefly showed looked amazing

I had the same thought about the weird Radiohead cover. Some of the shots did look stunning, hoping this is good. I'm worried too much of the story will focus on his failed romance. Phoenix is obviously a great actor but part of me wishes they'd picked a younger French actor to deliver the lines in French. Phoenix looks too old and bedraggled to play prime years Napoleon.

The only thing that bugs me more is the trailer that gives away the plot. That's why I love M:I trailers. I'm seeing a sneak preview tonight, and I still have no idea what it's about, lol.
