I get the impression they're keeping Jordan minimal simply because he's so iconic and I don't know who could even do him justice on screen. That said, I don't think he's officially involved with this, whereas I do think they at least have Phil Knight's blessing and Nike's cooperation, potentially.

Still at my parents' house in Texas, but they're all in terrible condition. I wore the hell out of those things. I think I have the 6s through the 12s in Texas, in kids to adult sizes (all bought when they came out, from elementary to high school), then I have a pair of 3s, 14s, 18s, and 20s here in LA with me.

Looks like a ton of fun. Been working on a TV project with the writer of this for a few months now. Super smart guy, knows his sh*t, always has a solve for everything, turns around new drafts quickly, etc. Just a really impressive dude, and I'm hoping this is a big hit for him (and also, selfishly, for me).

It looks like they're definitely going to take some liberties, but the story of how Tetris was brought to the US is definitely a great story. Lots of backstabbing.

Who would have thought 2023 would be the year of the successful video game adaptation?

-Super Mario Brothers
-Tetris

They failed at Street Fighter (twice), Doom, Warcraft, Super Mario Brothers, Double Dragon, Assassin's Creed, amongst others, but someone figured out a way to make what looks to be a fun movie about Tetris.

Using "The Final Countdown" in the trailer, and evidently in a scene in the movie, really worked. I don't generally get too excited about movies much, but I've watched that trailer multiple times today. Really great how they set it up as a story about how the video game was made that turns into a bit of a 80's political thriller (I was not aware of the story of how the game came to be).
