I assume so. Christopher Miller, one of the writers/producers, just said on Twitter that they've been working on both simultaneously. In other words, they don't have to complete one and then start the other, and we don't have to wait an additional three years or whatever.

Into the SpiderVerse is probably my favorite Spiderman movie... but I doubt they truly hit the same mark they did with that one. I'm sure it will be fun, though, and i'll definitely be there in theatres to watch it.

It wasn't only the visuals of Into the Spiderverse, it was that specific character driven story that was so great and refreshing. Also, is Jake Johnson reprising our Peter Parker's role? Because that casting and character alone made up for at least 33% of my enjoyment of that movie.

To this day, I do find it amazing that the most epic Spiderman moment to me is Miles taking the "Leap of Faith" in a freaking cartoon movie.

Writing it off as a "cartoon movie" is the issue there.

Animation is just a medium, and Into the Spider-Verse is one of the best overall films released in the last few years.

Not writing it off, my dude. I simply used the term as a device to illustrate how impressed I was with the movie. I grew up with Pixar and enjoy animation. You completely missed every other point i made.

Just watched the "Being the Ricardos" trailer

My wife and I are huge fans of the I Love Lucy show, and seeing Nicole Kidman play her is a HUGE miss in our book. Watching her in the trailer makes us cringe. uuugh

You didn't like a casting so you hope it bombs? That pretty much would guarantee no other projects would center on the topic for quite some time.

Yep, I would be fine with me if they didn't do any films on the topic. Lazy casting deserves lazy box office numbers.

It's not "lazy casting." Certain movies don't get made without big names attached. That's simply the economic reality of the business. Just about everyone who has seen the movie so far says the script is great. So either a good script never gets made - or - the script gets made, with an actor who might not be 100% perfect for the role, but will garner an audience. Either way, it's not lazy, it's just reality.

I hear ya, but all I'm saying is, my whole family loves Kidman and "I Love Lucy" but after seeing her in the trailer, none of us plan to see it. BAD casting -- could've found another big name instead of her. Kidman was already in Bewitched and it bombed. Why try her again? Makes no sense

I don't know that there are many big names who could have pulled this off. Kidman at least *sounds* exactly like Lucy in the trailer. Just seems like a very random/inconsequential thing to be so opinionated about, to the point of rooting for disaster/actively wanting careers to take hit.

These directors/actors/etc...play with millions of dollars -- they need to use it wisely. I do apologize for saying "I hope it bombs" and should have said "It will most likely be a dud" but who knows. I guess we'll all find out soon enough.

I liked the first 2 entries. Actually liked the 2nd one better even though it wasn't that successful at the box office.

My own thoughts are these films are having a hard time resonating with people after the Harry Potter series. We grew with those kids all the way and its just not the same.

This new trailer didn't make me say "I have to see this". I will see it but I am feeling a little l flat about it. Maybe it will grow on me.

Weirdly enough, I never saw the first two, and had no interest in them, but this one actually has my interest piqued.

The entire series has sucked except for Jude Law as a young Dumbledore; I thought that role was fantastic.

I've actually enjoyed the first 2. Its just fun being in that world. Its going to be interesting seeing Mads take on Grindelwald after replacing Depp. Big shoes to fill.

Moonfall just got some serious competition for worst movie of 2022.

I have to assume Sandler's making this movie since James and Schneider are in it.

"Hey Sean, you know that movie sort of based on part of your book? What do you think about having a guy who outweighs you by 75 pounds playing you?"

Right up there with having Philipp Seymour Hoffman play Art Howe in Moneyball.

That actually shows some potential.
