Man, December/Christmas 2023 sucks now in terms of blockbuster releases. With Star Trek gone, we're currently looking at Wonka (12/15, the Timothee Chalamet Willy Wonka prequel) and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (12/25). That's it. As of now, it'll be the first Christmas movie season without a Star Wars, Marvel, or Avatar movie since 2015 (minus the pandemic year, of course). At this point, I wonder if a big, summer 2023 movie, or even Dune Part 2 (currently scheduled for November 2023), would move back and take a December slot. All I know is that I need a big, Christmas blockbuster to look forward to, and Wonka and Aquaman definitely ain't it…

Have you heard anything about how dune 2 is going? No news is good news for me haha.

They're in the thick of filming on sound stages in Budapest, where the original filmed all of its interior locations. Chalemet and Zendaya have been filming for a couple months now, and I know Florence Pugh, and Josh Brolin have been filming as of late as well. My guess is production will last through at least the end of the year, then hopefully we get our first trailer come next spring or so.
