I don't know much about this one, but this trailer looks pretty ****ing scary...and I'm 100% about it.

Just heard about this. I am very interested considering how good Hereditary was.

Probably the movie I'm looking forward to the most the rest of the summer.

Has anyone seen The Strange Thing About the Johnsons? It was directed by Aster as well.

Anyways, pretty excited to watch this. Big fan of where the horror genre has gone in recent years.

Just watched Hereditary. What a scary/spooky ass movie. Very well made and well acted by everyone. Sounds and visuals were top notch too and added so much to the movie.

Gonna check this out at some point this weekend, between my Stranger Things binge.

I saw it last night. By far the strangest movie I've seen in a long time. Can't say it was good or bad. Still processing what I just saw. It is disturbing and weird, but not scary in your traditional horror movie kind of way, but more scary from the perspective of the plausibility of it all.

Pretty much exactly how I feel after watching.

Moral: be emotionally available and care about your woman... or else she will let you die in a fire.

I saw this on Wednesday. I can appreciate how well made it is, and I really like how Ari Aster, in both of his films, uses the horror genre to delve into some deeper and interesting emotional ground. Both movies actually fascinated me in that way. But, as with Hereditary, I can't say I really liked the movie haha. I mean, I will never watch it again, but I would go watch another movie by this director in a heartbeat, because he makes films that are thought provoking, interesting, and uncomfortable. That type of movie is good for one watch for me I guess.

Wow. Just got out. This film punches you right in the face.

I liked it but it a lot to digest, even though it's obvs what it's about

Same. My wife said she glanced at me a few times and my mouth was just agape like I was in a trance.

The main girl has a bipolar sister who carbon monoxides her parent's house in a murder-suicide. Very creepy and sets the tone and character arcs for the movie pretty effectively.


The scene with her screaming/crying on the couch as it transitioned to the outside snow and title cards was really well done

The director said he wrote this because of a bad breakup, and jokes he is better now. Makes the ending make so much sense.

I was honestly surprised that it wasn't as messed up as a I thought based on the reviews. I thought hereditary was more brutal. Definitely was a slow burn.
