**** yeah. It's a ******* masterpiece. Then again, I didn't learn the song because of Wayne's World.

Lol @ Corgan being mentioned in a Best Frontman list. And I like the Pumpkins.

One of the worst voices ever. Didn't realize how bad he was until I heard him sing live. My god.

Robert Plant is the quintessential rock and roll frontman. Freddie Mercury is the only one who comes close.

Please tell me you are kidding by your linking of anything from Rolling Stone that assigns rankings to anything in rock music.

The magazine that ranked Bob Dylan ahead of Randy Rhoads in the best guitarists category.

It's voted on by readers; nothing to do with the writers.

That said, I think it's insane putting Bono at #3.

My Mt. Rushmore. These are who come to mind when I hear "frontman."

One of these absolutely doesn't belong.

I'm sure you're talking about Kiedis but the thread is best frontman not singer. Dudes been going hard for 4 decades. He's the epitome of frontman. Energy, stage presence. Everything that qualifies as frontman.

Anthony Kiedis is the winner.

Most charismatic for me will always be Bonn Scott. No one should be able to grin like that while singing.

Prior to opening this thread I figured Mercury and Plant would be the top two. Wish I could have seen them in person.

For me it's all about the voice/pipes bc that is the most important element.

Mercury, Plant, Cornell.

if Keidis and Cornell get looks, Chris Robinson deserves a look - but none of them are Plant, Jagger, Mercury caliber. Id say second tier starts picking up Steven Tyler, DLR, Bon Scott. MAYBE CR and AK get honorable mention in that tier, but they're 3rd flight.
