Season 2 just dropped this week and the whole series is exceptional. I would say that each episode feels more like a Broadway play than a TV show. The acting, set designs, wardrobe, music and 'choreography' are as good as you'll find on any TV series. But the thing that really defines this series is the writing; there is a snappy patter to the dialogue that you just don't find outside of an old Woody Allen movie.

I always think that the production value of Amazon Prime series usually look a half-step below Netflix and a whole step below HBO. However, this series is different because everything is top notch.

Wife and I binged Season 1 a couple months ago and thoroughly enjoyed the show. Anxious to watch Season 2 over the holidays.

Great show. I will say this one seemed forced at times through the first half. Just odd actions that did not seem in line with character development (the entire Paris plot) . Also the translated stand up was cringeworthy.

The season redeemed itself from what I thought was a dip after the start. Great, great show.

Wife got me hooked on the show. I thoroughly enjoyed season 2 albeit probably not quite up with season 1, but that was near perfect television. I agree that the start in Paris was a little jarring but i thought it was well within Rose's character to jaunt off to Paris like that. The french club scene was a little ridiculous but i think they are just trying to show the high she is gets, which lead to the wedding fiasco later on in the season.

overall though, thought it was great. thought zach levi was a great addition to an already stellar cast.

I think Abe and Susie are the best characters in the show. The dad constantly cracking me up.

My wife and I binged season 2 this weekend. Man, this show is amazing. Susie is awesome.

I think I have one more left. Great season so far. The pilot felt so rushed and fast that I was initially worried that the show was getting too aware of itself too fast but from then on it has been very enjoyable.

Abe is great. Susie & her plunger has also been fun.

Binge watched this over the weekend with my wife. I was surprised at the humor and overall plot of the series. I definitely enjoyed it!

I think the independent woman aspect is well done as well. It is not too absurdly in your face and repeatedly overstated and overused in every scenario where it induces an eye roll. It is legitimately well stated.

One example is getting paid for a gig. Yes, a woman can do a lot of things, but you need an enforcer or some physicality to get paid on occasion for a gig, especially in those days.

Man... those final two episodes... just phenomenal. Maybe my favorite two hours of television in years. I admit, this season as a whole was little all over the place - literally - from Paris to the Catskills, back to New York, then on road and back to New York again.... and I loved every minute of it... but it did make for a slightly disjointed feeling, not quite as coherent and steady as season one. That said, the way it all then snapped into focus in those final two episodes... it was so masterful and emotional and just the right amount of let's-shake-things-up heading into season three. I'm stunned at how much it all landed with me. I legit teared up at Midge finally getting her moment on TV, with that montage of everyone watching, her father smiling, and the structured call back (no pun intended) from her taking calls on the switchboard in the basement at the beginning of the season to taking calls at the telethon in such triumphant fashion toward the end. And then that bittersweet, gut-punch of a season finale... it was all so perfect and earned. What a truly fantastic show.

I think I still have 1 or 2 more episodes left, but I have enjoyed this season. The first episode I did not enjoy and couldnt get into the first time I watched it, so I delayed watching the rest of the season. This week I decided to try it back out and was glad I did. I plan of finishing the last few up tonight.

Just finished myself. I enjoyed it. Really liked the development of her parents in this. They were great. I like Zachary Levi and his role. I think they would be great but doubt it goes that way. I am huge fan of show "chuck" so why I am bias. I can't wait to see what happens in season 3. Fun season nd it was all over the place. Her comedy is just great story telling.

Rewatched both seasons over the holiday with my parents, who hadn't seen it yet. Even my dad - the last person on Earth I would have pegged as being into something like this - absolutely loved it. He'd never binged a show in his life but was making us knock out episode after episode, night after night. I have to say, on rewatch, season two is even better the second time, and all the bouncing around felt way more strategic and well paced this go around. In fact, honestly, now having seen all 18 episodes twice, this is an all-time show for me. Like, top five, up there with the best of them. Partly because it's so different from everything else, but I really do think the writing, production design, etc is on par with just about any of the greats, only with so much legit, laugh-out-loud comedy, which is incredibly hard to pull off on top of everything else. Granted, future seasons could knock it down a peg, so hopefully it won't outstay its welcome and can go out on top, but so far so good and I'm absolutely loving every minute.

I really didn't have much of an interest in this show because the commercials led me to believe it was too much "in your face" women's lib, but I decided to give the first episode a shot and think it was really well done and very entertaining. I'm looking forward to more episodes.

This is probably one of my favorite shows on right now. Every character just knocks it out of the park. Literally every one. From the kids, to the parents (both sets) and the main characters. Absolute perfect writing and timing. I just can't say enough good things about this show.

Binged the whole series over the last couple weeks, really really good. Abe and Susie are exceptionally well played.

The second season reminded me of a Wes Anderson movie with some of the cinematography and sets.

Easily. And I don't mean to put down the other characters because they're fantastic but those two are just so phenomenal.

Susie as the plumber with her plunger was absolutely hilarious. And when everyone was searching for her

Also love when she was kidnapped.

finally finished season 2 and it was outstanding. I would have never thought this would be a show for me but I gave it a shot based on feedback here and glad I did. Everything is just so on point, the characters are well developed and relateable without being one dimensional.

I do have to watch with subtitles on because they talk so fast sometimes and use words that I would not have picked up on otherwise because I'm not jewish.

My favorite part was when Susie confronted Sophie in the dressing room at the telethon.

Why did Midge sleep with her ex in the finale? I know it makes for great future story lines, but if she was on the verge of marrying the doctor, why do that? He seems like the type of guy who wouldn't mind waiting for her to get back, and he liked her choice of career. Why ruin that when it doesn't have to be ruined, at least not yet?

Love the show (both seasons), but that felt a little off to me.

Well...

She realized that she can't have a normal life. She can't marry the doctor. It's not just this one tour, it's the rest of her life. Like the artist they visited earlier in the season, she is consumed by her art, her comedy. It is her life now, and there is no room for anything else. Lenny Bruce's song helped her realize that, and it made her feel empty and alone. And so she turned to Joel as a source of comfort, knowing that he understands her.

Speaking of Lenny, here's the real Lenny doing All Alone...

Just finished season 2 last night and can't wait for season 3. Easily the best show in production right now for my taste. Did anyone else think the lawyer Abe met with at the end was a divorce lawyer? I know they are setting up him protecting his assets from Columbia and the breach of contract with Bell, but I could easily see Rose choosing to leave him after he told her all the bad news.

However, S2 was just phenomenal. Great TV.

Here is my complete guess, He will milk his tenure for everything it is worth and begin some crazy hobby. My real question is what is going to happen to the kids. They seem so insignificant in her life.
