Still very cool. The actress that plays Millie is from the Houston area. We did a book signing with her just before Christmas.
I will say everyone we met from the film was awesome and very nice. No crazy rude Hollywood type stories. Just all really cool down to earth people.
Just watched it on my flight home and I loved it! Just wonderful. Y'all should be really proud!

This is crazy. My wife's sister was Miss Teen Texas in '91. We watched the movie on Netflix and the first thing she said "how did they do this movie without her permission?" Holy crap only on TexAgs would such worlds collide.
To answer a few questions:
Mrsbeer05: Send her an email request through her website and mention this thread on Texags. Its the only way she tracks requests and things. It would all depend on her schedule. She is very busy right now writing her next books and I'm not sure what travel plans look like for the summer when she goes on tour.

Staticdoor: Its kinda crazy how this all played out. There were so many time this project should have failed but the people involved believed in it and kept pushing forward. It wouldn't have happened without Jenn and obviously Dolly.
With a book sequel already out and middle grade set in the same universe coming out in October (Dear Sweet Pea) there's still a chance a they could pick up a sequel. So fingers crossed on that.
