They have put a lot of support behind this movie and have been great to work with. Should be pretty fun with the premiere tomorrow.
There are two theaters in Texas that will be showing it. ipic in Houston and ipic Fairview, north of Dallas. It's also playing in NYC and LA.

Yes I will be at the premiere tonight. The movie has to play at a theater in LA County for at least a week to qualify for the award shows. In fact a few hours ago, Dolly/Dumplin received a Golden Globe nomination in the original song motion picture category for"Girl in the Movies".
I bet the Oscars go down to Jason Isbell w/Cooper and Gaga versus Dolly.

Quite a few big-name celebs at the premiere. Been seeing pics in my Twitter feed. Looks like an awesome time. Have fun!

My M-I-L texted me yesterday asking for my NetFlix login and how to use NetFlix specifically because she wanted to watch this movie. A street level indicator that this indeed is going to be big.

Just got out of the theater. This is not my cup of tea, but I really enjoyed the movie! My GF absolutely loved the movie, cried a few times, and will be getting the book for Christmas.

So listen, I actually campaigned really hard to have it changed and was shut down by everyone. Something about reshoots and it being too expensive
