And there's always this...
you win!!!!
not a cover but it is greatness.... i actually cannot listen to Africa by Toto any more without my mind envisioning this video. they both ruined and made it greatness at the same time.
so funny that they spent significant portions of a long Africa safari just filming these parts to make a video - their guides must have really been confused.

Can confirm. I live in Ethiopia and Africa is my jams.
I'm kind or a fan or this version...MW03 said:
Actually, in retrospect, I think I have to say that I agree with Blindey when it comes to Buckley's "Hallelujah". I forget that's a cover. Sorry Jose.

Good but they need to turn the guitar up. Weezer is the wall of guitar.
In my opinion, weezer doesn't really have a distinct sound. They sounded like a ton of bands from the 90s. There recent covers sound like some 90s band covering songs. Hell, when I first heard africa, I had no idea it was them. It was until later I found out. That's how much they don't have a sound.amercer said:amercer said:

To quote myself from page1, it would be awesome if they did these covers but still sounded like weezer. I don't get the point to of remaking a song to sound exactly like the original.
That is an awful version of wonderwall .You must be a Bryan Adams fanboyJoseph Parrish said:
Some of my favorite covers. I listen to a lot of acoustic stuff.
Ryan Adams - Wonderwall (Acoustic Version) - I actually kinda like this better than the original, and that one is really good.
Johnny Cash - Hurt - I actually thought NIN was covering a Johnny Cash song when I heard their version, but it's the other way around.
