Agreed. People had already gotten "too cool" to like Sandler by the time that one came out and can't acknowledge its greatness without revealing that they're still watching and enjoying Sandler movies.

Zohan is really fun and the scenes with Sandler and Turtorro (an underrated actor) were awesome and Chriqui was...well, if I have to explain...

Guess I'm alone in that we hated The Waterboy. In fact, we almost walked out of it. Admittedly, I think Adam Sandler is terrible and I don't like his style of humor. My wife does like some of his movies, but even she disliked The Waterboy.

The Waterboy was a terrible yet funny movie. It is maybe my least favorite of his movies. I even find Mr. Deeds more watchable than it.

I can report that from my perspective Sandler is just as popular with the middle school crowd now as he was 20 years ago. My son and his friends celebrate the entire happy Madison catalog, watch the Netflix movies on day one of release and are hoping they complete the grown ups trilogy one day. I have always told him that there's about 5 solid movies and the rest are garbage. But that doesn't help as he asks to rent ****ing Blended again this weekend and I say fine just buy the movie if you're going to rent it every weekend - but make sure it's on your iTunes sub-account not clogging my account

I'm wondering if they will ever discover the mid 90s comedy albums that were a right of passage in my junior high locker room.

People like to rank comedies the same way they do dramas for some reason. Instead of being about the enjoyment and laughs you had watching the movie they're for some reason rated by their plot and significance to film. People don't realize it's just as hard to make someone laugh than cry. They don't see it as art the way they do drama.

I agree. When it comes to comedies, I take rotten tomatoes reviews with a huge grain of salt. There are quite a few good comedies out there that were ranked in the 30-50% range.

There was nothing funnier to middle school me than the Adam Sandler CDs and movies. My best friend and I still quote a ton of random **** from those CDs

Tollbooth Willy! Same. Listened to those CDs all the time and would quote them constantly with my friends.

Anytime me and my friends got semi annoyed we'd yell, "I'm comin out a the booooth!"

And just randomly throw in "Dollah Twenty Foive"

Ha, YES. "Dollah Twenty Foive" was maybe THE phrase I said the most in junior high. That, and the word "lush" from the bit as well.
