Am I the only one who thinks Reign Over Me was one of his top 3 films? It was a heavy drama for Sandler, but he and Don Cheadle were great in that one.

By the time The Waterboy came out, the Adam Sandler formula was starting to get stale. Sandler fans liked it, and football fans liked it, because we get so few football movies, but for everyone else, it really wasn't much different than anything else he did in the past. I'm not a huge Sandler fan, but The Waterboy is his 2nd best movie next to Happy Gilmore, which is an all time classic.

Good performances from most of the actors and some great lines...very rewatchable. That's a ridiculous rotten tomato score.

Wedding singer is one of the few movies I can watch over and over again. I may watch it again soon in fact! The music is awesome and that movie has so much heart. Or should I say hart!
People like to rank comedies the same way they do dramas for some reason. Instead of being about the enjoyment and laughs you had watching the movie they're for some reason rated by their plot and significance to film. People don't realize it's just as hard to make someone laugh than cry. They don't see it as art the way they do drama.

I have actually liked several more. Punch drunk love, 50 first dates, and spanglish are all decent to good in my book, but lack the Sandler distinction of the above list. Funny People is also good. Also enjoyed Pixels.

Just gonna say, you can't use critics score for comedy evaluation. Most of them don't have that gene.
