I made the tiers where I would always watch a higher tier movie before a lower tier movie, and the movies within the tiers I would watch depending on mood.

Yeah, I would bet, just based off of what I've seen on here, that even the biggest TLJ proponent would rank Rogue One ahead of it.....well, most anyway, this is TA. We do have some oddballs on here.

There's a video on youtube that defends TLJ saying exactly that. Further states that it made a subpar but understandable attempt at disconnecting to self from the original trilogy, prequels that shameless rehashed tOT, and TFA which was beginning to do the same thing as the prequels.

I don't know, I think the legacy of TFA depended heavily on how they handled the rest of the sequel trilogy. I think it could have been remembered as an amazing movie, and going back and watching it without the lens of TLJ i think it's probably the best movie made since ROTJ. But thanks to TLJ the legacy of TFA has been irreparably tarnished.

In TFA I liked Finn and Poe and Rey. I think there are some issues with the character of Rey, which existed in TFA as well and have been discussed in the past, but they could be overlooked. Now, those characters are more like usurpers to me rather than heroes. It's just hard for me to get over how massive of a steamy, gooey dump TLJ took all over the OT.

Bring in a new writer that can write conversations that sound like actual people talking, and a director that doesn't make the actors look like they're made out of wood, and those are good movies. And that's because there is a good overall story arc between all the prequels.
