Halfway through the movie I'm thinking to myself, "why don't the humans go and get some kryptonium and put and end to these Invaders."

Bullets, guns, and knives are futile against them. Perhaps kryptonium laced bullets.

The amount of havoc they wrecked is completely unacceptable. Skycrapers falling down, buildings collapsing, million dollar aircraft ripped to shreds; not to mention all the human loss of life just from their fights.


Oh well, its a movie. What can one expect?

I thought that once but thought MoS didn't hold up well upon revisiting.

Agreed. Plus the Superman theme is awesome. Gives me chills and I don't even like Superman all that much.

It's better than quite a few actually. X3, Wolverine 1 and 2, Spider-Man 3, the Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2, Blade 3, the first Hulk movie, all fantastic four movies, Daredevil, Elektra, both Ghostrider movies and all three Punisher movies.

Awww man, that's lame, those don't even count as "Marvel" movies. Those are outside the current MCU.

Thor
Thor 2
Iron Man 3
Ultron
Hulk of current MCU (it counts even though it's Norton)
Doctor Strange

On par with Avengers, Homecoming, or Iron Man 2 for me, even though I like Iron Man as a character more than Superman.

I haven't seen Ant-Man, Ragnarok, or Black Panther to compare it to.

No doubt Marvel is killing it at the movies right now and most are better than anything the DCEU is putting out, though.

Man of Steel is amazing.

I agree that it is above most of those but don't think I agree with the on par with section.

Man of Steel would be an absolute classic if it was about a random alien named Clark Kent and not Superman. I've never seen a film just completely get their own main character so wrong as Man of Steel does. Yet, the fight scenes are thrilling, Hans Zimmer's score is majestic, and I really love parts of it, but this character is not Superman. Pa Kent is a borderline sociopath in this movie,(and I love Kevin Costner), in telling young Clark that he should have let the kids in the bus die. It's a strange film to be sure.

Civil War is not good.

Neither were The Hobbit movies.

Or Avatar.

Or Titanic.




I haven't seen most of the movies we're actually arguing about, but I'm enjoying where this is going.
