The movie itself hits on February 15th, two weeks from this coming Thursday.
Reviews drop next Tuesday, February 6th at noon EST.
The first social media reactions hit TONIGHT at 1:00 AM EST, just after the West Coast premiere.
Figured it was best to start a new thread for posting reactions alone, as to not clog up the main Marvel thread (no spoilers either, just general reactions), and that it was time to splinter this movie off into its own thread anyway.
I've seen some speculation that it could potentially rake in even more at the box office than Infinity War. A tall order, no doubt, but this is honestly starting to feel like it could be black Star Wars, i.e. the biggest (and first?) blockbuster featuring a predominantly black cast, and I think that's the big x-factor here. We've never seen what happens when the black community turns out in full for something as big as this, in addition to all the other Marvel fans. Early tracking has it in the $120-150M range opening weekend, but I'm thinking more along the lines of $175M potentially.
Either way, I can't wait, and will start posting reactions tonight as soon as they hit...
