Previews showed at least several Unsullied. Dothraki are extinct though.

I pretty much assumed this entire season is girl power. I'm fine with it but I just feel like most major moments will be awarded to female characters as there have been so many strong ones on this show over the years.
But it shouldn't neglect that one of the two main protagonists has spent this entire season on the sidelines. Like Jon sitting on the battlements for half the battle watching from Rhaegal's back.

My tv is perfect for literally anything else I've ever watched. But I have to go manually change my settings because game of thrones couldn't effectively get their point across without making the entire episode incomprehensible?

It wasn't just the darkness.. it was choppy, blurry at times, shaky camera wayyy too much, and too hard to try and figure out what you were looking at.

There are ways to convey dark and low visibility without making the viewer feel like they're driving through a Minnesota snow storm with no wiper blades.

Regarding the visibility debate, I thought it served it's purpose well early. But I do think it carried on longer and more than necessary, with the biggest impact being that we got kind of robbed of seeing a series culminating dragon battle. It was hard to tell wtf is going on. I mean, Melisandre was getting banged in the dark earlier in the series, but we still got a good look at dem titties.

I think chaos, mood, setting, etc can be conveyed without sacrificing so much

Yes a few ran back in but their survivors went back to WF. I'm guessing the Dothraki survivors are in their 10s. 100% done as a fighting force. Just a few individuals.

Surely they have some folks watching castelyrock and dragonstone and a few other places. They only sent 10k Dothraki screamers to their deaths. I thought she had a sheet load more.

That added to it for me. It was chaos and it needed to be shown as chaos.

Instead of the super long and unneeded Arya sneaking scene leading to a 'save' that was poorly cut to after the Hound was messed up, they should have gone Top Gun and had Arya come find him all shook and ease him back into the battle like when Mav got Cougar to land that plane back on the carrier.
