Two rushed seasons cost us effectively telling the story of Dany losing her ***** Which has blown the story.

I could buy her backing into a corner, slowly losing it, and deciding fear was her way to ruling and keeping the throne. But they didn't do a good job of building it.

It WAS over. Minimal bloodshed for taking a major city. Then Dany went full BSC and torched the whole ****ing city. Cersei was locked in the red keep. Couldn't do a ***** The city was surrendering. Then along comes Dany and Drofon.

About hallway through... So after building up the scorpions as these ulta-weapon dragon killers, Dany uses the same tactic that D&D went to painful lengths to show us was obsolete last episode, except it incinerates everything this time.

Awesome battle visuals so far and it's still a fun show, but the drop in drama quality is painfully noticeable.

Other than the beginning tactics of the use of the dragon taking out the ships and scorpions +burning a hole in the wall, every other decision in that episode was wrong.

They couldn't come up with shock value equal to Ned's death or the red wedding like the old guy wrote so they just decided to kill 8 years worth of character arcs instead.

I get the themes they tried to touch on with her. Playing nice in Essos ended up costing her in the past (it let a rebellion fester and build). She's steadily had everyone in her life betray her. And then she decides fear is all she has. But it just happened too fast.

I actually liked the episode up until the last shot of Jaime and Cersei. That's bull****. I don't care if Varys rose from the ashes and killed her but doing it like that felt cheap
