This isn't a complaint about this movie, just a question on this plot device:

Why do we still have this tired cliche of "a bad-ass group/organization gets wiped out at the beginning of a film and a small handful of survivors have to continue on with no help or support to find out who killed the rest of their team"? And half the time....it's an inside job by someone they trusted.

Seriously, why is this still a plot that's being used in movies?

Very possible. I'm just to the point with all movies that if they don't actually show the death then it's always an open possibility.

Of course, Obi Wan cut Darth Maul in half and they still brought him back so the definition of movie death is very vague indeed.


Bet they say he faked his own death bc he knew Iggsy could be in but had no other recourse.

Also bc he suspected Arthur of being corrupted but couldnt oust him <insert random Kingsman gentleman rule>

I'd normally agree with this but because I was so wrong about this movie the first time I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and hope it doesn't play out like this.

That's a bit odd but whatever. Seeing this on Friday, can't wait. Really hope they capture the charm of the first one. Trailers have all been great so I'm optimistic.
