A 20yr bump on movies made 44 and 37 years ago.

Too bad he couldn't wait a week and pumped those numbers up.

Also: how do you not see these 2 classic films in that same time span?!

Now that the reality is becoming "real", what will movies involving "aliens" look like in the future?
"Roswell, 1947, there was a uap (ufo) that crashed, in fact there were 2 uaps, 1 crashed and one flew away and the other one did not and was recovered by the US GOVERNMENT."

Are A&M's core values..optional? Who has the POWER to determine that? Are certain departments exempt? Why?

I have no idea how Alien 3 was supposed to go, but I'll always be curious what Fincher wanted it to be. He doesn't even claim that movie because the studio turned it into something different than what he wanted. There's some framework there for something fun, I don't find it to be bad, just bad by comparison to the first two.

Alien Resurrection is awful.

Alien vs Predator is dumb but still a lot of fun.

Alien vs Predator: Requiem is just dumb and not fun it's so bad.

I go back and forth on Prometheus and Alien: Covenant, I can't figure out if I like them or not. I've seen them both several times but I'm still ambivalent on them.

I am really looking forward to Alien: Romulus and the series being made by Noah Hawley. Fede Alvarez is directing Alien: Romulus and he's made a couple of my favorite horror movies of the last decade. His Evil Dead remake is terrifying and Don't Breathe is really different and thrilling. Hawley is one of the smartest guys in TV, his work on Fargo and Legion is top notch. Both of them also got Scott's blessing.

I am sad we won't get to see Neill Blomkamp's Alien sequel. A lot of the concept art is really cool. Based on stories it sounded like Ridley Scott was into it, but Blomkamp's idea was around when Scott was doing Prometheus IIRC and didn't want multiple Alien stories coming out that close to each other.

Just stumbled across this.

These two weenies missed the mark badly. Poor babies. They were too delicate for Aliens.

Yeah, I remember watching that episode. When they dissed the movie, and the reason they gave for said dissing, was when I quit watching them. And I was one who watched every time before that for years.

I used to watch them too. They might have been the wrong demographic for good sci-fi.

Wasn't their Star Wars review also pretty dumb?

Honestly I don't recall their review of the original Star Wars. I probably discovered this show sometime in 1980-1981. All I've been able to find on their reviews of Star Wars and TESB are more like retrospectives made some time after the movies' original releases. I do recall their show on Return of the Jedi as being fairly done.

Alien, 2001 and Bladerunner are the holy trinity of hard sci-fi.

Throw in Interstellar to make it a quadrilogy.

Sacreligous to most sci-fi fans but Bladerunner doesn't hold up for me. Made my wife watch it a couple of years ago and I was bit baffled how much I didn't like it. I still respect it but I did not enjoy it.

Saw a bit of trivia on some Youtube video I watched earlier today, some of which I already knew - the interior of the atmosphere processing station later was the interior of the Axis Chemical plant in Batman. That I knew. What I didn't know is that the rolling seat that Lt. Gorman was seated on inside the APC was the chair that Bruce Wayne had in the Batcave.
