I've heard it said that Guy Ritchie has had all his edginess sanded off so thoroughly that you could roll him into a room. I felt like that applied to the Man from Uncle especially, and this further supports that.

This ain't the Snatch director, not anymore. Could be a fun film though.

Since there is no one who could possibly replace Robin Williams as the Genie..........I hope that they don't try. Just make the Genie fun and funny; but don't try and have the new actor throw in the Jack Nickolson impressions or current topical jokes. Just make him funny.

I think that depends on the quality of actors that there is at that age. With voice acting like in the animated movie, that wasn't an issue.

I thought Disney was in legal dispute with Robin Williams estate that prevented from using any of his lines from the original and that was a deal killer. Are they going to do a remake without Friend Like Me or Prince Ali?

I'm guessing that you can't have a black Genie though b/c of the whole slavery thing.

I almost feel like Ben Kingsley needs to be Jafar, just to make up for Iron Man 3 (he wasn't bad in it, just that the character twist was a let down)

did the jungle book remake have songs? i never saw it, so just wondering. remake does not necessarily mean musical.
