Thinking a bit more on it, I think the whole WD franchise has a central problem: they just can't bring strong women to the screen. Madison here. Lori, Andrea, and even Michone on the main show. Heck, Carole went through several seasons of being nada before blossoming.

Compare to the women of GOT...well, there is no comparison.

Okay. The show is not great....but the wedding scene tonight was pretty cool.

I'm kind of liking this flashback as we encounter new folks... Brings more of that early genesis stuff into the story.

I was on the verge of giving up on this show. And I'm hesitant to say it, because the next one will be terrible, but.....that.....was a pretty good episode, I thought. I found the idea of rival "clans" holed up in a hotel tower swarming with walkers interesting. And I'm interested to see how Travis responds now to Chris as a (now unquestioned) murderer.

But, like I said, the next episode'll probably be awful.

Man, I quit AHS and people said the last season of that show was pretty cool. Now I've quit this one and the same thing is happening? Crap!!

Caught up. Really improved over the last two. The wedding and the scene with Strand and the groom were quality.

I'm with you, as much as I am a sucker for Zombie shows I was close to quitting this one. The last two episodes have renewed my interest and I am actually looking forward to tonight.

Another good episode tonight. I'm enjoying the split storyline format more than I expected to (helps when the individual storylines don't all suck). But, although we see Nick and Travis moving back toward reconnecting with Madison and Strand's group, seems like Ophelia won't be any time soon. Really curious to see what happens with Chris next week, since Travis looks to be alone when he sees the hotel sign. And, speaking of, that's the one problem I had with the episode - Madison turning the lights on. Insane.

It's getting better. One thing though....the zombies don't seem like much of a threat if all you have to do is smear a little blood on your face and you're all good now.

I was all but ready to give up on the show but last few episodes have been good. I like the idea of where the hotel could be going.

the blonde mom is ridiculous. running into a gitmo style interrogation room to demand info about a gringo then turning the hotel lights on shows she has no business leading a group. should have been killed on the spot for butting in the grocery store.

It's interesting to hear the complaint on this thread about the ease of smearing on blood as camouflage to get around after all of the complaints on the original series thread about why they were too dumb to do it on that one. These are now fully appropriate Texags threads.

I. Hate. Madison. She is a complete and total dumb**** and she still looks like she is always smelling a fart. I wish she would get her stupid ass beat for being an insufferable moron.

Otherwise the show is pretty good right now.

Tonight makes 4 pretty good episodes in a row. The improvement over the prior episodes is pretty surprising, given how bad, and just uninteresting they were. Tonight, I was actually a little disappointed to hear that next week is the season finale - which says a lot since I was on the verge of giving up on the show just a few weeks ago.

One thing I don't get - why Chris and the other two guys (can't remember their names) didn't just leave when Travis had them locked out of the barn? Why was it important to get inside to kill James? IF you're going to leave Travis anyway, what's the point?

I think part of them killing James was their pact and part was payback bc he killshot their 4th before he turned. The dude that took the shot this episode was the one that couldn't take out the 4th previously... also reinforced the "new code" they are living by and why Travis had no business going with them.

That must be it, it just doesn't really make sense since he hadn't been bitten - which I guess was Travis's point.

I know. I'm a little hesitant to acknowledge a good episode, since I'm always about 90% sure the next one will be terrible. But, they do have a good, short streak going - which may still totally come off the rails in next weekend's finale.

Hated this show after the last half season. Reluctantly kept watching after it started back up again. It's definitely better now. I still don't care who lives or dies out of anyone on the show, but I look forward to each episode now. They have some better storylines going on now.

This half season turned out to be pretty good. Looking forward to seeing where it goes whenever it comes back. I'm glad Chris is dead.

Didn't realize tonight was 2 hours, so I only got the first half on my DVR. Won't get to watch the second half until tomorrow.

One question, which I'm sure has been mentioned on the show, but I just don't remember: where exactly is the hotel, as in what city? Trying to get an idea of how far away from everyone else Ophelia is.

Cliff Curtis did a good job playing a wuss. I wasn't sure if I would believe him becoming a west coast version of Rick. Then I discovered that he played this guy in Training Day:



He was pretty damned intimidating there. So I guess he can pull it off.

Really annoying when Maddison doesn't just break one of the window panes on the door to unlock the thing when Travis is beating the chit out of Brandon and Derek. That said, very pleased Chris is dead!! Even with the little nit picks this was a much better season. I'll continue watching.
