So, is this thread to talk about what we think will happen next on the show or next in the books? Or both?

I'm wondering if there is going to be conflict with Tyrion and the Tyrell/Dorne squad. When or if he finds out it was Lady Olenna that framed him for Joffrey's murder AND that Ellaria murdered his beloved niece Myrcella. There may already be some trouble with the Westeros-invading dream team.

Hopefully: one, or all of, the sand snakes. They've served their plot purpose. Now they're just tiring.

Probably: Qyburn. Varys may have his little birds turn on him.

That's a good point. I had forgotten that. However I'm not entirely sure HOW Tyrion would figure that out. I would assume it would certainly pose a problem if he did.

Are you talking show or book? I don't even remember book details. I just remember he was the one filling the cup and so he was accused.

As for the show I didn't think that she actively did anything to frame Tyrion. Joffrey pointed at him and Cersei assumed it was him.

I don't think she testified in either case.

As for Myrcella. Well he might be upset I suppose. I'm not sure he cares much either way though for most of his family. Myrcella might be the exception.

But I'm not sure he is going to have a lot of time to sit around and talk. He is going to be busy.

HBO anticipates at least two ten episodes seasons. The "shorter seasons" was an "off the cuff" remark essentially taken out of context.

My guess is D&D basically only felt like they have 13 or so episodes left based off material, budget, ect.... HBO knows they are printing money right now, and wants at least two full seasons so they are green lighting what ever D&D want to make it happen.

Not that I don't believe you but do you have a link to this?

So does the Night King now have the ability to bypass ANY magical barriers to reach Bran now that he marked him in the vision, or was it specific to the cave of the Three Eyed Raven? I would guess if it was the former Bran would know it (being the TER & all) & not be so eager to get to the other side of the Wall. Uncle Benjen might have some idea and mention it too.
In the show: I believe Bran "breaks*" any magical barrier he passes and will allow the WWs to travel south of the wall. I agree that as the TER Bran should know. I agree that (assuming he is not a double agent) Benjen would have mentioned something about Bran's mark potentially mitigating the walls protections. However, as the show works to consolidate and simplify plots this is just too easy an explanation, & they have been defaulting to the easier explanations.

In the books, who knows how it ultimately plays out.

I don't know if Tyrion currently knows Olenna helped kill Joff, but I would imagine he finds out. As to his family, Jaime, Myrcella and Tommen are the only ones he cares about.

Super nerdy Game of Thrones podcast I listen to during my commute. Episode 6x09 Battle of The Bs Spoilore Edition at the 30:48 mark.

I had no clue Arya was going to show up
This was the one thing I did expect, well that an Jon's parentage. I thought the Arya going after Walder was pretty easy to see coming. When the 'girl' smiled at Jamie, I knew it was her and she'd kill him and glad she did. He was a **** and deserved it. Didn't see the finger pie coming, though.

I got to finally watch last night so avoided thread yesterday.

I was wrong about Cersi killing Tommen, however technically he died indirectly because of her actions, but it was not deliberate. What a weak kid. Good riddance. Maybe Cersi will get pregnant again.

Sorry to see Margery and bro go, that was a bummer.

Glad confess beotch is getting hers and only wish the sparrow group had suffered more. But still satisfying to see them go.

Not sure if Jamie is pissed that Cersi is Queen or not, he had a weird look there. Of course his love declarations for her lead me to believe he'll never go against her.

I do wish Arya had made it back to Winterfell, though. Poor girl hasn't seen Sansa or Jon in years.

Curious about the fates of Brianne, Pod and the Hound as well.

Thought Danerys boyfriend would stow away on a boat rather than stay in Meereen.

I hope Davos gets to eventually kill Mellasandra. Evil beotch.

Looking forward to next season.

So, if Arya does go back to Winterfell, does she stake it out first? To see what Jon is doing and how Sansa is handling things? I think she does. I think she knows LF is the one who captured Ned and betrayed him, and I think she is the one who ultimately takes out LF.

So, for those that believe Tyrion is the 3rd dragon, do you expect to see clues in the show, the same way clues about Jon were spread throughout the series?

Tywin's treatment of and language to Tyrrion is suggestive. But they would need to work it in to next season if it is a theory they want us thinking about.

Exactly. It would feel convoluted and cheap if they tried to do that again after Jon Snow's reveal. (Besides the fact that the support and logistics behind the theory are flimsy at best)

In the show, the only clues I can recall, and they are way, way vague, are these:

Tywin telling Tyrion that he can't prove he isn't his son
Tyrion unchaining the dragons without getting cooked

The first could be genuine loathing and hate and nothing more, and the 2nd could be anything other than a blood relation

The full theory has a little more to go on than just this but it includes some things from the books mostly. It's not a very fleshed out theory, and a lot of the evidence used for it isn't concrete.

Yeah, I'm just saying the show needs to really put some stuff out there quickly if it plans to go that route, imo.

Nah. He will just hop on one and then they will do flashbacks or some red witch will explain it away.

In the show the sand snakes said kings landing has declared war on both high garden and dorne.

I get why cersei declared Against Dorne but it's really dumb to declare war on high garden for no reason.

I guess she still thinks that the boltons still control the north and littlefinger/vale are with her.

Boy, she is going to lose it when she finds out here are 1000 ships with a crap ton of warriors in league with dorne/high garden
Sapper Redux

I don't think Cersei has declared formal war on anyone. But she wiped out the Tyrells and has a sworn enemy in the Dornish leadership. She's stupid enough to assume no one would challenge the Lanister armies.

Yeah I seem to remember (can't remember if book or show) that he loved Myrcella and Tommen because they were very good and nothing like Joffrey and Cersei.

Jaime, Bronn, and Cersei know that Ellaria killed Myrcella. I can't imagine that Tyrion will return without being able to speak with any of them. He is the Hand now and can have Ellaria executed. Dany would most likely be on board with offing a person who murders innocent children.

That all being said, Myrcella is still alive in the books and the show has done poorly with Dorne. Who knows what will happen. Sand snakes getting crushed by zombie mountain is my hope.

I think Sansa outmaneuvers LF and is responsible for his ignominious end/death. It won't just be her killing him. That would be too simple.

If we see Ser Jorah again, I think he'll show up in Oldtown looking for a cure. Maybe he'll get help from a maester who can stop the greyscale, then meet Sam, and then they'll get word to Dany/Tyrion about Jon, Sansa, and the Whitewalker threat.

Bran has GOT to warg into Drogon before this is all over.

This is the interview that article refrences:

http://deadline.com/2016/06/game-of-thrones-season-6-finale-david-benioff-d-b-weiss-hbo-1201780242/

The whole interview is pretty interesting.
Last portion deals w/longevity. They do explicitly say from the beginning they planned on 70-75 hours "call it 73." They then explain its about telling a cohesive story. Not "padding out" a ten episode season. They never say they can't or won't go to 80 episodes, but they are pretty explicit about 70-75.

My guess is HBO wants 20 & is willing to bend over backwards to make it happen. D&D might be rich enough, might be posturing for a raise, might be trying to get an extra $20M for bigger battles, ect...

I hope it's extra money for bigger battles & more dire wolves.
