So, is this thread to talk about what we think will happen next on the show or next in the books? Or both?

What's everyone's bet on who will die first next season?
quote:That's a good point. I had forgotten that. However I'm not entirely sure HOW Tyrion would figure that out. I would assume it would certainly pose a problem if he did.
I'm wondering if there is going to be conflict with Tyrion and the Tyrell/Dorne squad. When or if he finds out it was Lady Olenna that framed him for Joffrey's murder AND that Ellaria murdered his beloved niece Myrcella. There may already be some trouble with the Westeros-invading dream team.

HBO anticipates at least two ten episodes seasons. The "shorter seasons" was an "off the cuff" remark essentially taken out of context.
My guess is D&D basically only felt like they have 13 or so episodes left based off material, budget, ect.... HBO knows they are printing money right now, and wants at least two full seasons so they are green lighting what ever D&D want to make it happen.
quote:In the show: I believe Bran "breaks*" any magical barrier he passes and will allow the WWs to travel south of the wall. I agree that as the TER Bran should know. I agree that (assuming he is not a double agent) Benjen would have mentioned something about Bran's mark potentially mitigating the walls protections. However, as the show works to consolidate and simplify plots this is just too easy an explanation, & they have been defaulting to the easier explanations.
So does the Night King now have the ability to bypass ANY magical barriers to reach Bran now that he marked him in the vision, or was it specific to the cave of the Three Eyed Raven? I would guess if it was the former Bran would know it (being the TER & all) & not be so eager to get to the other side of the Wall. Uncle Benjen might have some idea and mention it too.
quote:quote:quote:This was the one thing I did expect, well that an Jon's parentage. I thought the Arya going after Walder was pretty easy to see coming. When the 'girl' smiled at Jamie, I knew it was her and she'd kill him and glad she did. He was a **** and deserved it. Didn't see the finger pie coming, though.
I had no clue Arya was going to show up
I got to finally watch last night so avoided thread yesterday.
I was wrong about Cersi killing Tommen, however technically he died indirectly because of her actions, but it was not deliberate. What a weak kid. Good riddance. Maybe Cersi will get pregnant again.
Sorry to see Margery and bro go, that was a bummer.
Glad confess beotch is getting hers and only wish the sparrow group had suffered more. But still satisfying to see them go.
Not sure if Jamie is pissed that Cersi is Queen or not, he had a weird look there. Of course his love declarations for her lead me to believe he'll never go against her.
I do wish Arya had made it back to Winterfell, though. Poor girl hasn't seen Sansa or Jon in years.
Curious about the fates of Brianne, Pod and the Hound as well.
Thought Danerys boyfriend would stow away on a boat rather than stay in Meereen.
I hope Davos gets to eventually kill Mellasandra. Evil beotch.
Looking forward to next season.
quote:Exactly. It would feel convoluted and cheap if they tried to do that again after Jon Snow's reveal. (Besides the fact that the support and logistics behind the theory are flimsy at best)
Tywin's treatment of and language to Tyrrion is suggestive. But they would need to work it in to next season if it is a theory they want us thinking about.
quote:In the show, the only clues I can recall, and they are way, way vague, are these:
the support and logistics behind the theory are flimsy at best

Tywin telling Tyrion that he can't prove he isn't his son
Tyrion unchaining the dragons without getting cooked
The first could be genuine loathing and hate and nothing more, and the 2nd could be anything other than a blood relation
quote:
So, for those that believe Tyrion is the 3rd dragon, do you expect to see clues in the show, the same way clues about Jon were spread throughout the series?

quote:Yeah I seem to remember (can't remember if book or show) that he loved Myrcella and Tommen because they were very good and nothing like Joffrey and Cersei.
I don't know if Tyrion currently knows Olenna helped kill Joff, but I would imagine he finds out. As to his family, Jaime, Myrcella and Tommen are the only ones he cares about.
quote:I think Sansa outmaneuvers LF and is responsible for his ignominious end/death. It won't just be her killing him. That would be too simple.
I'll take a stab in the dark and say that Sansa kills LF next season.
