Why did Mike run out of the Korean BBQ place? Was Tom meeting with someone he wasn't supposed to? Dan's old boss?
tom was eating with Sydney Purcell just like Dan mentioned to him.
Was I seeing things or wasn't the speaker of the house in that lunch too? Marwood I believe?

Every episode this season has been excellent. They lost the showrunner, and the show actually got better. I keep thinking each week is a season high point, then the next episode is better than the last. Amazing run.

Another solid episode. This is easily one of the best shows on television and arguably the best season of the series.

i had to rewind so many times to hear lines I missed because I was laughing so hard. The writing and the acting on this show is nails.

Half the time I rewind it's just to see Gary's facial expressions again.

I actually think this season has lost a tick, but going from. 9.9 to a 9.7. Still hilarious.

Tonight was freaking outstanding. Loved it.

Furlong makes another appearance and totally delivers. His statement almost made it without any vulgarity, the took a hell of a left turn.

This season might be my favorite.

Best episode of the season! It took twice as long to watch with all the rewinding and pausing.

I kept rewinding the Furlong line and was missing the best line, where Tom said "Nope, Roger took my thing about ropey jizzum".

Selena going off on the Congresswoman after she flipped was legendary. I can't recall all of the stuff word for word, but remember it included:

Having the government so far up her husband's a$$ that he would wish it was more cancer

Something about her 6 kid having va_

Richard's "Jonah! Watch your language!!" when he was playing the widow candidate had me dying.

The scene between Selena and Tom reminded me of the scene she had with Gary a few seasons again. Very well acted and a moment of realness in a comedy.

I only hope they only use the Katherine lesbian angle as a way to poke fun at politicians. Like when Selena went to the book store to pick up a book of poems by her favorite African-American author and a book with a stong Asian woman protagonist.

Catherine is in love with her own mother's doppelganger. I think that is the humor in the relationship.

This scene was so great.

Selina used Catherine and Marjorie to schmooze the GLBT Advocate congresswoman - I loved how she immediately seized the opportunity to leverage their relationship for her own gain.

"No harm has ever come from hanging up a few pictures of muhammad" - priceless.

Analogizing the one Congressman's soul searching change of heart to what would happen if his Russian prostitute date did the same during a bj.

I love the way she can talk to people and get away with it. And Gary's little noise reactions make the show that much better. Great episode.

Besides Julia-Louis Dreyfus (Veep and Seinfeld) and Tony Hale (Veep and Arrested Development), what other actors have starred in TWO all-time pantheon comedy series? On the same token, are there any other comedy series that have featured two or more stars on that short list, such as Veep?

Jonah's uncle calling him a "sentient enema" is one of my favorite insults this season, and on this show that's saying something.

To be fair, Frasier was nowhere near as big a part of Cheers as JLD and TH were to their respective former shows.

JLD was also the "blind" lawyer on Arrested. But back to the characters, I feel like Sue is the most grounded. Maybe since she is older than people think after that line from the Eagle.

I love Sue's hyper-competence while giving zero f***s about everyone else's drama and neuroses.

Every secondary character is so well-written and acted.

Adam Scott - Party Down and Parks and Rec
Martin Starr - Party Down, Silicon Valley and Freaks and Geeks
Ed O'Neill - Married with Children and Modern Family
Bill Cosby - Fat Albert and Cosby Show
Brian Cranston - Seinfeld, Malcolm in the Middle, BB (had its comedic moments)
Michael McKeen - Laverne and Shirley and Better Call Saul
Tony Danza - Who's the Boss and Taxi

Some of these may not be "pantheon" comedies, but all were pretty popular.

Gary's reaction during this:

"and if I do win, I will have my administration come to your ****ty little district and shake it to death like a Guatemalan nanny."

Was hilarious.

Side bar - is anyone watching Life in Pieces?

It's really funny to see what's his face play this role in VEEP and then a family guy/doctor on that show.
