quote:agreed, about like jonah walking the streets of Nevada in cowboy boots.
It's hard to imagine this show getting any better than it already is, but I think Jonah running for congress will be hilarious.

"It raised a lot of money for ALS, whatever that is."
That normally would have been almost a throw away line for this show, except it was said by Richard which made that line incredible. If you watch this episode on HBOGO Richard has outstanding lines that weren't included.
Jonah running for congress has huge potential.

Guess that's what I get for trying to quote the day after, oh well.
quote:the whole show is so freaking money.
They just did an amazing job casting and developing these characters.
Seeing Dan realize that he was Gary was perfect. He was so defeated.
I played golf on Sunday with 3 guys that just graduated college. They were talking about GoT and SV and I brought up Veep. They knew nothing about it. It made me sad.
Veep has filled the hole Parks left in my life. Cant wait to see more Jonah running for Congress with Richard as his CoS.
quote:also, the first couple of times i saw Richard on the show, i didn't think he was playing well. now, he's quite possibly one of the best characters on the show.quote:

Sorry, not trying to a rick with a p. Its just that the joke is so much better. Richard says its raised awareness for ALS but still doesnt know what it is.

The awkward axe holding stance at the end is great

I've tried real hard to enjoy this show. I've only watched about a season and a half now. I have yet to see a single person with a single redeemable quality. Its depressing because the shows humor comes from its truth, not from its outrageousness. I'm sure nobody else on this thread agrees with me, but all these people are dog****.
quote:tom was eating with Sydney Purcell just like Dan mentioned to him.
Why did Mike run out of the Korean BBQ place? Was Tom meeting with someone he wasn't supposed to? Dan's old boss?
quote:that is the point of the show. It is satire on politics. Every one sucks, they are all looking out for number one, all have terrible home life, everything is done terribly inefficient, etc etc. Basically what we all believe to be true about politicians.

quote:Seinfeld, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Veep... terrible people make for great comedy.
That's why I miss Seinfeld so much. And why this show is great.
