They just did an amazing job casting and developing these characters.

Seeing Dan realize that he was Gary was perfect. He was so defeated.

I played golf on Sunday with 3 guys that just graduated college. They were talking about GoT and SV and I brought up Veep. They knew nothing about it. It made me sad.

Veep has filled the hole Parks left in my life. Cant wait to see more Jonah running for Congress with Richard as his CoS.

"Somewhere there is a woman my exact age..." Wow! That line made me laugh for 3 minutes. Needed it after 2nd viewing of last GoT episode.

Any time I need to reference my ass, I am going to start using "my rusty sheriff's badge" from now on.

That normally would have been almost a throw away line for this show, except it was said by Richard which made that line incredible. If you watch this episode on HBOGO Richard has outstanding lines that weren't included.

I want a full episode of Jonah just listing off things that were wrong with him as a kid.

"I had eyebrows, they were just flesh colored"

There were some great lines last week, but Bens "Jesus, you look like a southern housewife who burnt her husbands dinner" was my absolute favorite.

also, the first couple of times i saw Richard on the show, i didn't think he was playing well. now, he's quite possibly one of the best characters on the show.

this is to me the best thing related to Jonah.

Tonight's episode is called Cun_gate and is supposedly great.

I've tried real hard to enjoy this show. I've only watched about a season and a half now. I have yet to see a single person with a single redeemable quality. Its depressing because the shows humor comes from its truth, not from its outrageousness. I'm sure nobody else on this thread agrees with me, but all these people are dog****.

I think the fact that none of them have redeeming qualities is exactly what makes the show funny. You don't spend your time rooting for anyone; you revel in their screw ups and laugh when they insult each other because they all deserve it. It makes all the one liners that much funnier.

Why did Mike run out of the Korean BBQ place? Was Tom meeting with someone he wasn't supposed to? Dan's old boss?

that is the point of the show. It is satire on politics. Every one sucks, they are all looking out for number one, all have terrible home life, everything is done terribly inefficient, etc etc. Basically what we all believe to be true about politicians.

But what I love about the show is everything they do, every joke they make, is contained within the show. There is no Republican vs democrat because in Veep political party doesn't matter. And really they are doing a political show without a political agenda.

C**tgate was one spectacular episode...I have not laughed so hard in a while!!!!

That's why I miss Seinfeld so much. And why this show is great.
