Should I read this stuff? I kind of want to see the movie not knowing anything... Or is it going to be enhanced by following along with the marketing campaign?
quote:Why?
I've rapidly lost interest in this movie.
quote:That's not a problem to me - quite the opposite. I'd rather see a humans-are-metaphorically-monsters-in-a-world-with-actual-monsters movie, than a humans-surviving-monsters movie.
I think the problem is from the trailers we've seen... a car accident.... scenes where she is chained up... scenes where she is allowed to walk around without the younger guy, scenes with the younger guy (dinner), her crawling through a ventilation shaft, the place being on fire...
Assuming all those scenes contain at least a few minutes of dialogue, we're talking 45+ minutes of the film before we even get to her actually getting the door open.
If it really is a monster movie, there's going to be very little scenes with the actual monster.
Based on the "monsters come in many forms" tagline, I think it's safe to say that the movie is mainly about the characters in the bunker and not the "monster" outside.

im really frustrated with the lack of discussion on this on here leading up to the release. i love this board because peole here seem to be really good at discussing and analyzing movies and such.
quote:This is an odd comment to me. You were pretty upset and "frustrated", calling people obtuse, etc., on the Better Call Saul thread earlier too.

That was frustration with the dude being obtuse imo, this is more me being bummed that all the movie philes aren't talking about it like in the deadpool thread. Thanks for the wellness check though, pal.
