I thought we had the ending 3 times......and then there would be more. I wasn't clock watching so I was never sure:
1. King in the North!!!!!
2. Cersei on the throne
3. Dany sailing for Westeros
So good it could have ended on any of the three.....but I love the sailing shot. Sets up next season so well.
All three in BLACK by the way....and Olenna was in black also.

I thought the little birds were great but I definitely agree about Varys. During the fleet fly by I kept spotting Martell sails, thinking 'Surely Varys didn't bring ships back that fast right?'
I guess they really want to accelerate Dany's trip back to Westeros. Thought she might meet Varys on the way or while ending slavery in Volantis but I don't see that happening anymore.

That was ridiculous. So many resolutions in one episode, not only from the season but from the entire series. I'm interested to see the "Death Poll" results, but also, does anyone know what the name of the first song was with the little piano arpeggio? I've listened to most of the songs from the soundtrack and couldn't find it. That song really made an impression.

Not much time I would imagine. The entire small council was killed and most people of import in the city. So Cersei could have had it done the next day if she wanted. But to coincide with Jaime's return and the rubble still burning/smoking I'd say a week at the most, maybe two.
