We've had two consecutive episodes specifically mentioning the Manderly's and we were reminded twice last episode on the SPECIFIC Frey that slit Cat's throat. We're on pace for both "The North Remembers" and Lady Stoneheart!
This show has trained me to manage expectations. I definitely expect a Manderly. And, I expect some sort of speech about who we should be bowing down to and this and that. But, The North Remembers? I'm wary.
I stood in front of the TV giddy with excitement when Ned rode up to the Tower of Joy. I Looked For You was coming! They gave me nothing and wasted 8 minutes on Tyrion making small talk with two ex-slaves. Then, last week they named an episode after a speech and left it out.
I'm back to losing control of my Lady Stoneheart expectations. Too many clues for no fire. This late in the season, Sophie Turner's preseason Two Truths and a Lie tells us what we need to know.
- "Ramsay dies."
- "Lady Stoneheart returns."
- "Arya checks three people off her list."
Sophie isn't a book reader and the show list is only 3 people. I think Lady Crane's performance helped Arya understand Cersei's viewpoint, but I don't think understanding is the same thing as forgiveness. So, either Cersei, Walder Frey, and the Mountain die...or Lady Stoneheart makes her debut.
