That movie is totally loaded.
"How do we know he's NOT Mel Torme?"
I has seen the movie many many times and laughed at this line. But one night I guess the full hilarity of it hit me. Could not stop laughing. Sometimes you can get a joke but not quite the complete brilliance of it. Your Skeetin' Heart? That's just a lot funnier than it appears at first glance.

And the backward-filmed scene with Peter Cushing in the bookstore is the most brilliantly planned sequence in a comedy film ever. All in one shot and just genius.

Real Genius was written by Neal Israel. He also wrote Bachelor Party, Moving Violations, and Police Academy.
My pet peeve is that the lead character is exactly the same.

For even earlier Zucker brothers comedy, check out Kentucky-fried Movie.
Kentucky Fried Movie is kinda uneven......however, the "Fist Full of Yen" mini-movie in it is probably the most faithful and funniest parody ever. Almost every scene in it is lifted straight out of Enter the Dragon, including a lot of the dialogue.

Top Secret is probably one of the 10 funniest movies of all time for me.
Underrated? It's an absolute classic.
The scene where Chocolate Mousse mows down the krauts with the Tommy gun and then the random brotha just walks by out of nowhere and says "My man!" as he high fives him is one of the best things ever put on film.

It's one of those great movies I always forget about.
I wonder if it's lack of "buzz" amongst the great comedies is a result of the fact that it is rarely on TV?
I remember seeing Blazing Saddles and Airplane! growing up fairly regularly. Hell, I watched both on TV last month. I can't remember the last time I saw Top Secret.
