This would’ve been a good excuse if the bad VFX were exclusive to the speed force scenes but the ENTIRE MOVIE looks like that ☠️ https://t.co/I6C2nL4Xgo

Pretty much all the Batman titles are straight adaptations from the graphic novels and pretty solid, worth a casual watch at least.MooreTrucker said:
Apropos of nothing other than it's a DC Universe thread, I recently discovered that Max has a TON of animated DC shows with the Justice League, Batman, Legion of Superheroes, and all that.
Now I understand why everyone makes over them all the time. I used to think animations were just Saturday cartoon shows grown up, but the first Spiderverse movie was really good. And with a realization that most of the Marvel movies have so much CGI they might as well be cartoons, I decided to give them a try, and I'm really enjoying them.

Can't believe how good "The Flash" was, I don't watch CBM but having Michael K back was the seller but HOOOOLY SHIT Ezra Miller was insanely good. I can see now why they didn't want to can this gem. 11/10, way better than Spider-Verse pic.twitter.com/cAMWInAk5k

I went into THE FLASH truly thinking that maybe I’d be somehow pleasantly surprised.

This is the most offensively awful major blockbuster I’ve seen in a theater since Suicide Squad 2016.
And it’s not just bad. It’s a ghoulishly uncanny and grotesque CATS-level nightmare.
The DCEU hasn’t produced a profitable film since SHAZAM!, which was four years and six movies ago. The box office forecast for #TheFlash is fitting for what’s supposed to be the culmination of this franchise — an unmitigated disaster.

That guy is fos, it wasn't bad at all, it was a very good comicbook movie…
Edit: I liked all the DC universe movies, some were really good. Batman vs Superman is an all time classic…

Gotcha TCTTS.
And Sapper, I'm wrious…
SUPERMAN II was released 43 years ago today. A hugely successful sequel and one of the most popular Man of Steel films, the behind the scenes story was a pretty unorthodox one to say the least…

Will agree. But while I won't call that one an all-time classic, I do enjoy watching that one in much the same way that I enjoy Alien vs Predator or King Kong vs GodzillaMooreTrucker said:Excellent choice of gifSapper Redux said:aggiephoenix02 said:

This is what i find on IMDB. I saw the movie for the first time on this day. At the time, I was a frequent reader of a magazine called Starlog that covered science fiction and fantasy movies. I don't recall reading anything about Superman II in the summer of 1980, and as a big fan of Superman:The Movie, I would have been beside myself with impatience on getting to see the sequel for another year (and this was in a time when sequels routinely required 3 years or more with little information available about their production).Brian Earl Spilner said:

Granted, two of those four movies - Wonder Woman 1984 and The Suicide Squad - were released during the pandemic, but still.
If I were WB, at this point I would consider releasing Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, currently scheduled for December 20, as soon as possible, if only to create as much distance between the DCEU and the DCU as they can. Because right now, I don't know that even 18 months will be enough for audiences to fully wash the taste of the DCEU out of their mouths, before Superman: Legacy - the first DCU entry - hits theaters on July 11, 2025.
If this bomb then Gunn should just hard reboot it. There’s been 9 DC movies released since Aquaman and the only two that have made past $400m have been the two movies that aren’t connected to it. I’ve enjoyed the DCEU but the writing is on the wall at this point. https://t.co/jP0SYP6Z2K

Fascinated by this fantasy world people are creating that The Flash is underperforming because James Gunn is rebooting DC.
— Jacob (@JacobFisherDF) June 17, 2023
If you asked 10 people on the street if they knew James Gunn was rebooting DC movies, I think most would struggle to tell you who James Gunn even was.
And then when TF needed the most, there was no momentum or fans to counterpoint all the negativity that grew for over a month that unbuild all hype #TheFlash had early MAY.

A franchise with ruined brand, engulfed by negativity on opening weekend = Perfect Storm for disaster.

Meanwhile, right now on the Warners lot, James Gunn is screen-testing Nicholas Hoult, David Corenswet and Tom Brittney + Emma Mackey, Phoebe Dynevor and Rachel Brosnahan, in full wardrobe & makeup, for the roles of Clark Kent and Lois Lane for SUPERMAN LEGACY.

Dunno, I'm hoping it means the start of a break in the mass produced **** and maybe some space for more original action movies.TCTTS said:
