Deathstroke should've been the bad guy in Suicide Squad. Could have been a covert op to take out a well known villain, who had ties to the Squad and Waller.

Would've been way more conducive to the type of mission they would go on, instead of having some ridiculous out in the open extinction level event that should've called for Superman.

My only experience with him is Arkham Origins. Probably the best part, but he was also the first boss.

Helmet looks a little big. Tiny eye.

Deathstroke is a great choice for a Batman villain because he's a guy who is a better fighter than Batman, which will force Batman to have to beat him using strategy.

Done well Deathstroke can be one of DC's best villains (e.g. see Arrow). Hopefully they adapt him well.

I agree that Death Stroke would be a fun character for a batman movie, though I'm curious where he would fit into a Justice League movie.

I'm not super familiar with the character, but he doesn't strike me as the sort of big bad you need the justice league for, and he doesn't strike me as anyone's errand boy, either.

I think the Justice League enemy was a misnomer, I think he's going to be the main villain of the Batman movie.

But that footage was obviously JL filming, do he had to work in somewhere. Breaking out Lex, maybe?

The suit looks okay, but is very Iron Man-ish. I'm reminded of how awesome the season one teaser of Deathstroke was in Arrow. DC really hasn't set themselves up well in competing with their TV properties. Deathstroke is a great example of a character that could have crossed over very well between big and small screens.

Not "obviously" Justice League. Deathstroke has been confirmed as of this morning as the villain in the standalone Batman movie, and that looks more like a screen test to me than actual filming. I'm almost positive that this is NOT Justice League related.

Well, that's good. Hard to believe that they're screen testing things this early. When does it start filming? Given DC's history, I'd say it is almost certain that we see Deathstroke before the Batman film.

Origins had Black Mask put a multi-million dollar bounty on Batman and 8 of the supposed best assassins came to try to collect including deathstroke and deadshot.

Which pretty much confirms we won't see Deathstroke on Arrow again. Not that Manu Bennett was terribly interested in returning anyways based on what he has said in the past IIRC.

Sounds like a reaction to poor reviews... I don't think they know what they're doing. "What? it's too dark, let's lighten it up" In a couple of years (months) it will be "what? it's too light, lets darken it up again"

Of course that's what they're doing. They tried it one way (dark) and found out that it wasn't a popular choice, so they're fixing it (lightening).

but didn't they do this with the Batman films of the 90(ish)? First Batman by Tim Burton was dark as well as the second. Then they go lighter and more campy after that.... which was terrible, terrible, terrible mistake. terrible.

I just don't have much confidence in WB execs when it comes to Batman. They need to just let the director do his thing and hopefully they do that with Affleck's batman (I can't believe I just wrote that)
