Hell no

I like to imagine there are two dart boards at WB headquarters for their comic book movies. One with a bunch of DC characters on it and the other with different characterizations, emotions, and motivations. Where those darts land gives them their direction for the next movie. That's the only theory that makes sense.

I'm convinced they just look at the covers of different comics and go from there. They know kinda what the characters look like, but that is it.

There is a DC captain marvel and a marvel captain marvel. Two completely different characters.

On a side note, I find it funny that Shazam is consider a d-list hero when historically he started out with a bigger fan base then Superman.

Expected at this point. At Comic Con, when asked if he was going to continue at Batman, he never actually answered the question. Only gave some soundbite about how excited he was to be playing the role.

I think I would too. Really warming up to the Urban idea.

Reeves' approach sounds amazing. Taking inspiration from Fincher's films and basically doing the Fincher version of Batman some of us have always wanted is about as exciting as it gets. I'm all for a new actor in the role as well.

But please, please, please just kill the DCEU and let this be it's own thing. Don't recast and go solo, but then also keep this in the same, stupid world, and the same, stupid continuity. Go ahead and release the Aquaman movie in 2018, release Wonder Woman 2 and Shazaam in 2019, but then please let that be it and just have this Batman be it's own thing starting in 2020.

Gyllenhaal is pretty great. I'm having trouble hearing his voice as the voice of a 20-year crime-fighting veteran, but the Reeves Batman is sounding better and better.

And THEN, if I actually LIKE a character, I'll feel more compelled to see future teamups.

I think back to 2012 and I hadn't seen Captain America or Hulk, but I liked Iron Man and Thor, and that brought me into the universe and got me obsessed. There's no such character with Justice League that's compelling me to overlook any story bumps or bad CGI, so instead of being sucked in, I'm just kind of turned off.

There will be a Batman in the Flashpoint movie, according to Geoff Johns.

Ezra Miller and Jeffrey Dean Morgan both want Morgan to be Thomas Wayne, but Geoff Johns wouldn't say the identity of the new Batman, Thomas Wayne or not.
