Suprised there isnt a lot of discussion about episode 3 and 4 of Visionquest. Its top tier when it comes to Marvel Televison. The wrinkle of humor is just at the right level with the direction it's taking.

I loved the first episode, just haven't had time for the rest. There were so many misses in a row from Marvel Disney+ series that it's hard to get motivated for them

This is one of the best. Probably up there with Loki, Mando, and Andor of all the Disney shows.

Dang! We're only through the first 2 episodes but holy crap we love this show! Agree with those that said the actor portraying Tommy is giving all he's got acting in this role. Holy crap!

Have to ignore all these posts above cause I know it'll be for episodes 3 and 4 but man this has been fun so far!

Spider is in peak Reddington form with this.

Just jumped in last night with episode 1. Already liking it, feels very close in tone with Wandavision.

I'm betting either Doom's wife or his mother.
i assume the wife is part of the plot, but they may also intro the mother for his backstory.

She and Doom sing a duet of "Sign of the Times" on Karaoke Night in Latveria.

More likely 99 luft balloons

the song serves as a good nuclear destruction metaphor, plus the image of balloons popping could very well fit teh whole incursion concept as well.

True, not many people understand this.

Spoilers, blacked out, although posters / lurkers should investigate for themselves:

In the story, the multiverse is ending via Incursions. Star-Lord and the Guardians fight in the final battle on Earth; Groot and Rocket are killed, and Quill is among the handful of heroes Reed Richards manages to get onto a life raft that survives the collapse of reality. He and the other survivors wake up years later on Battleworld (the patchwork planet God Emperor Doom built from the remnants of destroyed universes). He's one of the key 616 survivors who gets scattered across Battleworld by Doctor Strange (then serving as Doom's sheriff).

Considering this was shot around the playoffs, I'm guessing they had a day….and they are not actors anyway….

And still better line reading than anything from LeBron in space jam….

Just watched all 4 episodes of Vision Quest. This show is incredible. Ultron is pretty great in this.

Lukewarm take: I think they're putting too many characters in the X-Men movie

Also, supposedly Peter Claffey (Dunk in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms) will be cast as Beast.

Medium-high-heat take: I don't know if the Thunderbolts crew is right for a true ensemble X-Men movie. That was a movie with only 7 characters (Yelena, Walker, Ghost, Bucky, Red Guardian, Sentry and Val) and I'd say Yelena and Sentry were the only ones handled really well. Walker and Val were adequate. Red Guardian can't get away from being 90% comic relief, and Bucky and Ghost were likable but could have been used better.

Imagine an X-Men movie where Cyclops and Sinister are great, Jean and Rogue are fine, Iceman is purely there for yuks and Storm and Beast are kind of a waste of space. That sounds like X-Men Apocalypse to me.

But they are the new Avengers and not the X-Men. Confused.

Granted, I don't think they can be the Avengers long-term either and doubt that they will be.

If they want Doom to be a threat, he's going to have to do some major league killing, although who knows if that is in this movie or the next one. Still, the only thing they have left as a bargaining chip besides RDJ and "the feels" is putting massive high stakes. Most of the original characters arcs are done; killing off a bunch of heroes isn't going to upset many fans

They will kill off multiverse versions and leave us in one timeline. That's the obvious play.

Old X-men and old avengers DEAD.
