I like the show a lot, but del Toro's influence on the Master is obvious, and like usual, bad bad bad. Looks silly.

I HATE Norah's mom.


I get that they're trying to make a sad story about one of the primary character's moms having dimensia, but the way they do it.....she's just the worst! Not to mention a horrible actress. Can we please kill her already?

You knew that as soon as Eph told his son to stay put that he was going to leave. Unfortunate that he lived though

cons:

-the Master looks like a 90s action figure
-norah's mom still alive
-apparently Del Toro only did one take for the very end. Walder Frey's delivery was laughable

Pros:

-that vamp railway electrocution was the best kill yet
-really like the vato, and he finally started kicking some tail
-looks like we get some more of the vamp commandos next week!
-that UV bomb was sweet

I don't think the master looks that bad. Reminds me of Nosferatu.

Previews showed next week: Bolivar, Eichorst, some guy in a miner's helmet (young Setrakian), Palmer, commandoes, etc.

Feels like a lot to wrap up in 2 episodes.

Pretty good finale setup. Obviously not everything will wrap up. Eff is an effing terrible public speaker.

The backstory was predictable, but enjoyable nevertheless.

Sooo glad they got rid of Nora's mom....ugh, she had to go! Backstory was good if predictable and Yes, Eph kinda wasted some precious seconds there when he could've gotten more information out.

Is it just me or is Eph kind of a ******? I'm starting to really dislike his character. He's a negative nancy, a know-it-all, and a total twat to the British chick.

Since this show is pretty formulaic, someone big is going to die in the finale. Let's see who!

-Eph: no effing way on earth. 100-1 or better.
-Gus: too much screen time with too little payback. He'll be a major character next year. 50-1
-Nora: one of my preferred, but doubtful. Gotta keep the love story going. 25-1.
-The kid. my other preferred, but killing kids is alway dicey. 25-1.
-Vasiliy: tough guy goes down fighting. I'd hate it, but can see it. 10-1
-Dutch: Probably the easiest to off; she's hot though, so I hope not. 10-1
-Setrakian: you can easily see his story winding down. Pass the vamp hunter mantel to Eph, final face-off with the Master and bye-bye. 5-1.

Nice and pretty spot on I think. I'm going to go with the easy one and say that Setrakian will die sacrificing himself and dealing a significant blow to the Master and his cause while passing the Vamp hunter mantel to Eph. I will be pissed if Gus or Vasiliy go but don't see it happening. I wouldn't mind the kid getting the axe, he's annoying as hell.

Ah, very true! Setrakian has experienced so much horror & loss going through the holocaust, losing his family, etc. that it kind of gave him the edge (mental fortitude, toughness, slightly crazy, etc.) to continue on preparing for, fighting, and resisting the Master for over 6 decades. Thinking more deeply on it, I wonder if i'd be able to keep on keeping on when so much bad has happened in life?.....Setrakian needs his obsession to defeat the Master and the Strigoi virus as that's the only thing that keeps him moving forward. It's his Crusade. Anywho, good point, had thought that far ahead.
